My husband and I did extensive research on finding a trainer for our 11 month old dog, Allie Mae. We decided on Sit Means Sit after looking at the positive reviews and a friend’s recommendation. We came into our first meeting with high hopes and our expectations were met immediately. We settled on a 15 day board and train which allowed Allie to receive the training she needed and allowed us to be able to work with Sit Means Sit in the future if we had any questions or concerns. We had the pleasure to work with Sebastian from day one and I can’t compliment him and his work ethic enough. Sebastian and all of the trainers at Sit Means Sit truly care about the dogs they train and make it a fun and rewarding experience. Allie has made 110% improvements in her leash walking and her recall. We are so pleased with the results and can’t wait to come to group classes! Hopefully we can get her into the fire hydrant club soon.

I’m so proud of our fur babies for graduating from Sit Means Sit 15-Day Board & Train. I was very nervous at the beginning based on their age and stubbornness when it came to training. I was blown away when I saw them for the first time since dropping them off. My jaw was literally on the floor! I remember saying to myself “These aren’t my dogs”. They have made a complete 180 change. They’re so much happier with the new lifestyle they have of daily walks without a leash in the neighborhood, going in public places and hanging out in the front yard without stepping out of the boundaries we set. The confidence I see in my boys makes me so happy and very proud of them. Sit Means Sit is worth every penny and the staff and trainers are absolutely amazing. Big thanks to Sebastian!!! The facility is very clean, organized and the perfect environment for your dogs to learn in. Thank you so much!!!!

I have a rambunctious, 6 month old GSD who needed to learn commands/manners. Sit Means Sit gave me the tools to give my girl the structure she needed! Their trainers really know what they’re doing and truly care about your dog.

We opted to use Sit Means Sit for their 2 week board and train program. I'll be honest, I was hesitant to use an e-collar for training our 1 year old terrier mix, Chip. He is a highly excitable little guy we adopted from the shelter as a stray. I was able to teach him basic commands at home, but with any extra stimuli he was completely unable to follow them. He just could not focus his attention on me in any situation that wasn't calm and quiet. And with 2 kids, a revolving door, and lots of activity, thats just not my house's general vibe. The E-collar 100% works to get and hold his attention. It doesn't hurt him, and that was my initial fear. It merely reminds him to focus his attention on me and my words. The program was very successful and he came back to me crate trained, able to walk on a leash, and able to follow and understand the commands set in place, even with distractions. (The only downside of it I can think of, was he had a bit of anxiety from being boarded. He began chewing his back paws from the stress of the overnight facility. But for us, the benefit outweighed the temporary stress. Since correcting a lot of his behaviors would allow us to take him on vacations and not have to board him in the future.) Of course my family and I required A LOT of our own training for this to continue to work. And Sebastian and Rebecca were great at helping me navigate that process. I asked so many questions and they were honest and helpful with everything. Sebastian in particular really gave me the confidence to lead Chip in any situation, and be proactive rather than reactive. So yes, it takes work on your end, you won't get a "fixed" dog back who is completely obedient at all times. But if you practice with your pet and follow the instructions they've laid out for you, it definitely sets you up for long term success. Not to mention they continually remind me they are there if I have any more questions or issues. I would definitely recommend them for general training but especially for excitable reactive dogs. We will continue with them for group refresher training classes which are free after the board and train. And I have absolutely no reservations about dropping him off for a day train for a more focused refresher if need be. He loved the trainers and I could tell they had affection for all the dogs in their care. Overall a great experience for Chip and me.

Zoe was a recue pup with a very active personality. Zoe came to us with no training and no manners. We enrolled Zoe in the 15 day stay and train program and what a different dog in a great way. If I ever feel overwhelmed with working thru a dog obedience issue the team at Sit-means-sit comes to my resue. I can’t say enough good things about this group!! Great experience, great team.

Rebekah was very professional, knowledgeable, and confident with our dog. She kept a light atmosphere that made our dog feel supported but eager to learn. More importantly, she helped US learn how to appropriately communicate with the same commands, body language, and cadence .

My dog Sophie did the group training at Sit Means Sit along with 2 other dogs. I was very impressed with the progress that she made in two weeks, along with the other dogs. The homework that was given was consistent with the training that she received, and it was so helpful to have such a small class for the owners when we worked with the trainer at the end of each day. Sophie is doing quite well and it is making our walks so much more pleasant. Originally, she was barking and pulling on her leash constantly. Now, she is focusing on me and I feel much more confident in how to guide her to better behavior. I would recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone who has a reactive dog.

The entire process was made simple. Rebekah was an excellent trainer for our dog, Trout, and for training us! We had our dog in the 10 day overnight training program. He is a large dog that couldn't even walk on a leash before his training at Sit Means Sit. He came home leash trained as well as learning many other skills. One of my favorites is "Place". He is able to sit in one spot for over 30 minutes until he is given a command that he can leave the spot. This has come in so handy. Thank you, Rebekah! You did an excellent job. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit.

Sit Means Sit is a very well designed program for step by step training of your dog. Our experienced with Joseph was positive and well done in every regard. The post training day 1 hour one on one training of both dog and owner did a great job of setting the tone for homework between sessions. The staff was friendly and efficient in setting up the program and getting us scheduled. Highly recommend.

I sent my 7 month old Doberman to their 15 day training course. My Hazel was a wild child, jumping, biting and barking for hours. As we are an older couple and Hazel will be a big girl, jumping on us was not an option. Hazel no longer jumps, bites or barks. We are so happy with our little girl, When she starts to bark when placed in her crate, all we have to say to her is quite and we have quite. I'm very pleased with all aspect of training and her care while she was boarded. Rebecca was excellent in her training of Hazel and myself. Hazel and I thank all of the staff at Sit Means Sit for a very pleasant, professional experience
