DO NOT MAKE THEIR CREDIT CARD WITH THEM !!!
I wish to report a serious issue regarding TJ Maxx's credit card solicitation practices. Their representatives repeatedly misled me about the ability to receive rewards on a previous purchase by opening a new credit card. Despite asking for clarification multiple times, both in-store and via phone, I was given false information. They just said I would be able to do it after activating the card again and again...
And, I discovered that their claims about retroactive rewards were untrue. This appears to be a deliberate misrepresentation of their credit card benefits, which I consider both unethical and potentially fraudulent. The time I spent pursuing this matter and attempting to verify their claims was completely wasted. They are thoroughly unethical and untrained. They do not feel ashamed for lying for a small money.
I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding these deceptive practices, and I am considering legal action against the company for their misleading sales tactics.
Of course, it is impossible to talk with T.J Maxx's customer service via phone. There is an endless A.I loop so that I cannot talk with a real person who can be responsible for their collegues' lying.

Their customer service does not work at all. There is an endless Roop. Almost impossible to talk with a real person on the phone even during the operating hours...

Stopped by TJ Maxx and was amazed by the women’s section - aisles upon aisles of stylish finds! The men’s section, on the other hand, looked like it was curated by someone who thinks we only need three shirts and a pair of jeans. But hey, at least it made my decision-making process quick!

Great store but staff is VERY pushy about getting the credit card. You say no thank you and they keep asking over and over. It’s too much.

Big selection to choose from, but the HomeGoods side can be overwhelming and hard to navigate, especially when busy. The line for checkout is always, without fail, very long, but I’ve found that it typically moves pretty quickly. Cashiers hound customers to apply for a credit card which can be very off-putting. I politely declined three times during one transaction. I know they’re pushed by management to pitch the cards but to what extent? They’re going to lose customers that way.

TJ Maxx signs customers up for a shitty Credit Card for 10% off an order.

Was there yesterday specifically to purchase a purse. Found two - $99.99 & $69.99. You know the nice ones that are attached to the safety wires. I pushed the end cap button for assistance, asked 3 different employees for help (1 was dusting, another restocking and another hanging out on her phone). After 30 min and repeatedly pressing the assistance button, I finally gave up and left. What’s the solution here TJ Maxx? BYOBC? (Bring Your Own Bolt Cutters) Perhaps do away with the handbag department, as you clearly don’t want to sell them. Will forward this note to corporate so they can start that process…

The inventory levels are too much to the point it is unshoppable. Housewares and kitchenware is poorly kept due to the massive amount of inventory they have in those departments. I would of expanded those departments and shrink other departments to compensate rather than create a horrible recovery experience for the staff and a harder shopping experience. Speaking of the staff, one was rude to us and cut us off to rush out more merchandise and was very curt about it. They have big carts out during peak shopping hours. It seems to me they lack operational hindsight. The cashier's didn't really have a sense of urgency either, 2 of them just ignoring the customers letting one handle the line..🤔🤔 Management presence needed on the floor and service standards needed and merchandising standards should be revisited with stronger replenishment plan and recovery plan for areas with too much merchandise. I love the inventory levels but smarter merchandising is needed to maximize profits and turn inventory quicker and make the shopping experience more exciting.

This store has gone downhill. Manager was rude and refused to return a $12 pillow that had a broken seam, claiming they wouldn’t have sold it that way. I was a regular patron but will not return after today.

I love this store! I’ve only been here twice but I will say the reason I gave three stars is due to the cashier. I am not sure of her name but the first time I went, she was ringing up stuff for my friend and I felt as though she saw my cart and started asking me about a credit card…..THE WHOLE TIME SHE WAS RINGING UP MY FRIENDS STUFF!! This alone made me feel uncomfortable because it was disrespectful. Also, because she was so focused on me getting a credit card, she double charged my friend for an item. I went again this week, got the same cashier….where then THE ENTIRE TIME of checking me out, she was asking me about a credit card after I said NO 6 TIMES! I love this store but this type of interaction makes me not want to shop here due to being scared of getting the same cashier again :(

Good collection of all items, having lots of options at all price ranges, and better collection than any similar stores.
Only drawback is the Checkout time, on any day of the week, or any time of the day - it takes around 15/20 mins to stand in the check out line.
