Well I was enjoying going to the Y but they decided out of no where to nearly double the price of a single membership so I had to stop going. Price going up a little ok understandable but almost double that's a no go for me. I'll go walk at the park for free

I love the y. My son comes here for open gym and has been playing sports here for awhile. But there is one lady who is very rude. She needs to learn how to talk kindly to people. Tonia trutter. One bad apple will spoil the whole bunch.

Do not allow your children to take part in the afterschool program unless you're ok with them being harmed by other children due to their lack of supervision during the program. My son was attacked by two other children this week, and we've had problems with these two boys before. The Y claims to have a zero tolerance policy against bullying in the program, but I guess a busted lip and broken tooth do not add up to bullying enough to put into effect the zero tolerance policy because the boys that attacked him only got a four day suspension from the program. When they should have been removed from the program. Now to keep my son safe, I have to try to find another program to place him into.

Our son has ADHD and Autism and the after school staff has no training on how to handle or deescalate him. Almost every day was a complaint till we had to remove him all we got was bad faces when picking him up. When removing him they still charged for the next month and when emailed them why we removed him was no reply from the management. Most of the staff is a bunch of children untrained.

This place 2 minutes from my house. I signed up 3 of my kids for the swimming classes today. Connie was super helpful and she answered tons of questions for me. It took about 15 to 20 minutes for the paperwork and payment.Im really excited for my kids to learn something new. I will see how it goes and i will update.

This is the worst facility. I paid $90 for the Grubb YMCA soccer team. The first three practices were rained out. Then the teams were combined and switched. We were advised in an email to “follow schedule”. We show up for a game on Saturday for our game and no one was able to tell me where my child was suppose to go but she wasn't on their team even though we were there for her team and time. I emailed the “sport director” he told her team was switched again and to meet on Tuesday for practice since she missed her game. That an email was sent with new schedule which half of us didnt receive. I show up yet again to be there on the wrong day. I was also told her jersey was “lost” they could order another with two games left. I emailed/left a message asking for a refund as we literally got to go to one practice, never received our jersey, or in contact with coaches. I never received a phone call, email or even an apology back. VERY disorganized and unprofessional.

As a childhood Thomasville resident, I actually grew up attending the Thomasville YMCA and have never really considered visiting another location until recently. Now that I am a Silver Sneakers member, I am entitled to benefits at pretty much any YMCA accepting the Silver Sneakers program, creating endless possibilities! I visited a few locations in the Piedmont area, but this one in particular really stood out. First off, the front desk employee greeted me without hesitation and when she realized I wasn't a member, even offered me a tour. This is the first tour offering out of three I have recently visited, so I am impressed to say the least. The staff was quite enthusiastic and optimistic while showing me around, even though the gym hosted around three total guests and the indoor poor was deserted, except for the lifeguard on duty. This location seemed to be the least attended, only one level, and had the least features to offer. Despite these weaknesses, this location was actually the most friendly and generous with their time. This is why I have chosen to make this particular location my most frequently visited. It is small, but with a family-felt, close-knit atmosphere. My doctor has encouraged me to increase my physical activity and even if I am not able to return to my peak performance, I need to try my absolute best. So, recently I attended a water aerobics class, which is held every Tuesday and Thursday morning. As the youngest member in attendance, I was hesitant, but tried to remain enthusiastic. To my pleasant surprise, several ladies actually went out of their way to introduce themselves and even invited me to a local gathering thereafter. I do not regret venturing out to new locations and exploring outside of my comfort zone. I have felt nothing but love here. This YMCA is truly a gem, where I can no doubt say that you will be welcomed with open arms.

Feel very unwanted, Leah is the most rude employee I have ever come into contact with, should not be employed anywhere, do not recommend getting a membership. Unless you like rude employees

The staff is always friendly and ensure that all my needs are met while in and around the facility. They offer great fitness classes and have summer camps for the youth that help to grow their skills. The membership prices are reasonable and the membership gives you access to all different kinds of neat programs.

basketball program is a joke! More like football. Girls 7-9 year old is more like a wrestling ring because umpires will laugh at fighting instead of calling a foul. Absolute Disgrace of the game called basketball. I would give James the ref they wont fire a 0 if I could!

This YMCA is a very nice quaint gym. They accept the Nationwide passes. They have a pool that is 5 feet deep at its deepest point. They have plenty of gym equipment and treadmills. There is no towel service which is not a big deal to most people like myself.
