I watched one employee guide a confused man toward the dairy section like they were leading Frodo to Mordor, but with more grace and fewer orcs. And don't get me started on the prices. This store isn’t just saving me money. It's actively trying to rebuild my financial self-esteem. I walked out with enough groceries to last me a week, and somehow I still had enough change to hit up the taco truck next door (also 5 stars, but that’s another review). Special shoutout to the self-checkout machines that didn’t judge me for buying three different types of frozen pizza and a single stick of deodorant. This is a judgment-free zone, and I am thriving. “I absolutely love this place. If you're a health conscious person, you would do well to stop in here. They have more organic foods than you think. You don't have to search through way too many selections to get what you need. Aldi selects the best products for their store and really makes it easy on the customer. Plus, all of the employees are very helpful and kind. It really seems like they love their job.”

“Okay so I go to Publix about 2 times a day, sometimes up to 4. Everyone who works here is nice. All of the patrons are nice. I often overhear other customers singing along to the music played over the speakers. (Editing this review to comment that shortly after posting this I saw one of the workers singing the song on the radio to some of her co-workers, like she was performing it and dancing around the store, it was so fun and representative of the atmosphere here!) Quality of the food is always great. Prices are always fantastic. Tons of BOGO deals. Its my second home for a reason - just fantastic all around.”

Walmart just launched Realm, its new 3D online shopping platform. To help you visualize what that means, imagine a virtual mall packed with bright colors, wacky landscapes, and cartoon avatars wandering around. Realm lets you browse "digital doubles" of real Walmart products by navigating through several make-believe worlds. "We believe this is the future of commerce," said Justin Breton, who leads brand experiences at Walmart. "It won't replace our website or app, but will complement them."
Target's new low-cost brand Dealworthy is rolling out this month in stores and online. With items starting at under $1, it is aimed at budget-conscious shoppers. The low prices on basics like phone chargers, paper plates and underwear will likely appeal.
Walmart is growing the number of its physical stores across America. The retail giant announced plans to open 150 new U.S. stores over the next five years while remodeling 650 current locations. Popular Florida-based grocery chain Publix is venturing into uncharted territory - Kentucky. Come 2024, Publix will unveil its inaugural Bluegrass State locations, comprising six stores sprinkled between Louisville and Lexington.
