Store is located 324 Long Shoals Road, Arden, NC. Daniel Highouse, Pharmacist and his manager Aaron should be ashamed of themselves. I'm in the midst of the disaster zone from Hurricane Helene in Asheville, NC. This store is 6 miles south of me and it is business as usual in that area because they have power, running water, cell coverage and internet. I had not any of those except for cell service. I am trying to evacuate to my daughter's home in Missouri for 3 months since the city said we won't have water for at least 8 weeks. In light of this catastrophically, biblical event. the DEA made a special allowance on 10/3/24, allowing pharmacists to fill a 90 day supply of Controlled Substances 3-5. I went to the store on 10/4/24. My much-needed muscle relaxer is a C3. Daniel Highouse and his Manager Aaron refused to give me a 90 day supply so I could evacuate. When I told Daniel that I had talked with a Supervisor at the District office in Greensboro, NC, he smirked at me like yeah right. I even gave him the Federal Statue for reference. Daniel actually said to me, "The rule says I "can" fill it but I don't have to. I don't think this situation is an emergency." My jaw hit the counter! How can he say that when the Federal government has declared this area a disaster?!! The first item in the NC Pharmacist's Oath is to try to end the suffering of his patients. He ignored that Oath and turned me away. Do it use this pharmacy if you have a choice! They do NOT care about the well being of their patients. Everyone is 10 seconds away from some unforseen event which can put them in 24/7 intractable pain. Do you want to trust this company's pharmacists to care for your needs? I think not!

First time using this pharmacy to get a shingles vaccine- such a great experience. The pharmacist Vanessa Hand was kind courteous and efficient! She had me fill out the necessary paperwork which did not take very long asked me all the correct questions . She was well informed and talked to me about this vaccine as I had been hesitant to get it in the past- I’m 63 years old and should have done this earlier. She made me feel comfortable and set my fears at ease. The injection was painless and I had minimal side effects , so much less than what I was expecting. I have already set up an appointment with her for my second vaccine. The pharmacy tech was Omni he was funny outgoing and took the time to talk to me and communicate my needs to the pharmacist. They are both a true asset to this store and made a great team. Highly recommend this team and pharmacy for all your pharmacy needs. I am switching to CVS from Walgreens because of this experience . Do not use this pharmacy unless you feel like paying full price for your prescriptions with insurance I just spent over an hour trying to get my prescription filled with my insurance card and they said that they had processed it and everything else and it had gone through I had to call my insurance company and they even told me that they had not even processed any of my prescriptions since the beginning of July do not use them they will rip you off

The CVS on Long Shoals in Arden NC is dirty and disheveled and the pharmacy is as well. I will be changing my primary pharmacy election with Medicare away from CVS due to their inability to deliver ( provide when stated) Rx on time with no notification of delay with outcome being unable to fill same day as no time to get new order from doctor to different pharmacy. I tried to give 0 stars but won’t post without at least 1.

They seem to adjust their hours on a daily basis, which doesn’t match up with what’s listed online. Extremely unreliable.

As others have said, go somewhere, anywhere else. Poor customer service. My toddler (16 months old) had a prescription needed for sickness after a doctor visit. Sent to this pharmacy which we tried to pick up after the appt (bit of a drive so typically enough time in between) and not ready. Ok, no problem. We'll come back before closing due to work. Called 25 minutes before close and said we were on the way, close to closing time and explained how we really needed the meds for our sons pain management. I would never again buy any medication from CVS pharmacy. Cashier/pharmacist tech arbitrily makes personal decisions about % discount on medication. She lied about the discount (Good R/X discount coupon) associated with my medication and I could have saved at least 30% more with other pharmacies.

Second time I've came in around 7pm and they're closed. Their hours say they're open, yet they're not. I'm sick of this CVS it's always dirty and when it's open the people are unhelpful and slow. Don't go here go anywhere else.

I like to have confidence in the businesses I deal with and some, I expect total confidence. Pharmacies are one of those businesses and this one does not instill confidence at all. Prescription was there before they opened and called about an hour after. Once they found it, they told me about an hour, took my number and promised to text me when ready. Tried four hours later and could not get through on the phone so drove over. It was ready. The lady that served me was pleasant and I was out the door. Hey, it happens. Moving on until the directions(not on the bottle) did not align with what I was told at the doctor's office. This I confirmed with a call to the doctor. Again, moving on, until quantity of pills on bottle is 10 and all that I had in the bottle were 8. My goodwill is gone. I won't be back except to pick up the pills that I should have received. I know that businesses are struggling to find good help, but this is beyond unacceptable.
