You need two weeks notice to order money to buy a used car. Needed $15,000 from my savings account and this branch suggested that I needed to call in advance, two weeks to ensure that they funds would be available. Had to drive to another branch that had the money in what I would call a sketchy neighborhood to withdraw the money to buy a used car. I had to ask the teller to make a call to find another branch with the money, and I had to ask for a receipt with a $605 deposit. Excuses ranged from: it's our policy, we don't keep much cash on hand in the even of a robbery to protect our customers, it's Christmas season (12/13/22) and we've had a lot of withdrawals, if we give you the any portion of the money we will not have enough until our next order for cash. I asked what amount of money I could withdraw and they didn't want to give me any! For God's sake, it's my money and it's not your discretion to "allow me to withdraw from my account"! Asked them for a courier service to save me time and the fact that I did not want to go to the Patton location and chew up a lot of my time and they said they don't do that. Patton location asked me a series of questions after showing them my Driver's License, a PNC credit card, a savings and checking account number, and having been made aware that I was the person who coming from the Arden branch after showing adequate identification for their purposes. Follow up by a territory or area manager woman who just reiterated what was already said at the branch and offered no suggestions how to possibly make it right by me for the inconvenience and continue to earn my business, just our policy. She was indignant that I was asking for some type of consideration for the inconvenience because I did not call two weeks in advance. My time apparently is worth nothing to the PNC hourly tellers or managers. Do you value your time? Does that sound like customer service to you? Can you plan two weeks in advance to buy a vehicle on Facebook, and possibly miss out on the opportunity to purchase a collector vehicle because your bank needs two weeks notice? PNC acts like it's their money on deposit. I like their green credit card perks to provide a balanced review, but I'm moving down the road to find better customer service.

How PNC Made My Life HellThis year will make 10 years that I have been with PNC. For the most part I've enjoyed using them. Outside of a very unpleasant experience trying to get a home improvement loan Today however that all changed. Last week my wife was made the victim of a job scam. She went through an official job interview, the company was well represented on Google, and the person who she interviewed with was listed on the companies website. She found and applied on the job through Indeed, so we had EVERY reason to believe this was a legitimate job posting. They offered her the job and set up an appointment for orientation. In the meantime, they sent 3 checks to cover the cost of the equipment she would need to buy. We deposited these checks virtually within a 24 hour window. Now, obviously those checks were eventually denied and we realized we were scammed, and the scammer had tricked us into paying them about 2000$. We report ALL of this to PNC and flag the transactions that were spam. Today I am told that my account has been put on hold because of fraud and I have to go talk to my local Branch Manager. Long story short, PNCs Loss Prevention Specialist says that because the checks were fraudulent and deposited by us that we are responsible for not looking closely enough at the check. Therefore they are opting to close my entire account. This alone would be bad enough but they are also refusing to let me withdraw MY OWN MONEY and claim they will "send me a cashier's check in a little over a month with my remaining balance."Everything I own is tied to this account. I can't open another account with another bank if I don't have access to ANY of my funds. Which means my job can't direct deposit my check. Now, the way to dispute this is by asking the Branch Manager to dispute it on your behalf. However, the local branch manager stated "I've only been doing this a couple of weeks and I'm just not comfortable sticking my neck out on this" despite the fact that I'm nearly in tears right there in his office trying to keep composure while I explain why this is a mistake. Meanwhile I can audibly hear the banks "Loss Prevention" outright berate me and act as if I'm an idiot and that no reasonable person could have ever simply get scammed. This is all happening while I've got a contractor waiting at my house because he thought I was on my way back with the money I owed him for cutting a few trees. I was told on the phone that I would be able to make a 1 time withdrawal until the hold was resolved, but the BM refused even that. Because it didn't matter. It doesn't matter to PNC, because people don't matter to PNC. You're not a customer, your a number. And it doesn't matter to them if they put your entire life on the coals. 10 years and I've never deposited a single false check, nothing like this has ever happened. Do not bank with PNC.

Had nothing but issues with PNC bank and closed my account after only a few months. It was not branch related, but the bank in general. Will never use PNC again!

I've been using PNC bank for probably 8+ years now and have always been satisfied with my banking experiences. The bank tellers and other employees have always been super friendly and helpful. They are always smiling and seem happy to help with anything. I appreciate that whenever I have questions about my accounts or anything, they are always so patient in helping me figure stuff out. They have many locations throughout Asheville and throughout the US. I actually first started banking with them in Michigan, and continued to do so when coming back to NC. Their website and apps are really approachable and easy to use. They are secure and I always know what is going on with my account. It is super easy to do things such as pay bills, transfer funds and check your account.

Ashley Edwards was awesome! She has great customer service. Super friendly, fast, and she made setting up an account one of the easiest things I've done. I've been dreading opening up a new account, but she made everything easy. Thank you!

No one explained when my money would be available as I made my first deposit as a new customer. Over a long weekend one would think the employees would say something letting me know I wouldn't have access to my full check until wednesday after memorial day. Not a good first impression. Hopefully, through mobile banking, I will never have to deal with a teller again. I just hope I can get my car home today.
