I would give zero stars if it would allow me. Stopped by this store, grabbed a few items and purchased them. I attempted to cash in a lotto ticket. Cashier told me they didn't have any cash to exchange... No cash? Then why are you listed as a lottery ticket convenience store? So I said that's fine, I'll just do an exchange and get more. I was then told I would need to get at the back of the line to do it. I just walked out. This store is local to my home, won't be back. Get workers who have better customer service.

The first 2 pumps I tried didn’t work and would just say “insdauth” when I wanted to pump gas. The third one finally worked. Also the air pump was a piece of garbage

I have been to this place 3x now and all 3 times the service was horrible. This last time, the pump wasn’t taking my card and it said “insideauth” - telling me to go inside. As I walked in, I told the girl my pump wasn’t working and asked if that was all of them or just the one I was on. She asked me how much gas I wanted. I said I wanted to fill up my tank. She said she needs to know how much to pre-authorize it. I said I’m trying to pay at the pump, but it doesn’t appear to be working, repeating my question, “are they all down right now?” she started getting agitated saying the weather causes this and I need to pre-pay. I said OK fine let’s do $30. She processed my card and then as I got out to my car to pump gas it was not turned on. I had to go back inside and ask her if she had authorized the $30 on pump five. She said I did but then when I looked just now it wasn’t. I had to go across the street to BP to get gas. Never again. 3 strikes I’m done!

This Shell gas station is engaging in fraudulent practices. This morning, I paid for gas, but none was dispensed into my tank. Luckily, I noticed this before getting on the freeway, where running out of gas could have been life-threatening, especially with ongoing construction on the 26. In traffic, I quickly realized my gas gauge had not moved.
I returned to the station to report the issue, only to be treated rudely by the staff, a recurring theme in their Yelp reviews. A simple "I'm sorry" would have gone a long way. Instead, I was ignored and told to wait in a 10-person line "to be fair to other customers," despite having already waited. This situation was exacerbated by the staff, who insinuated to other customers that I was causing trouble. When it was finally my turn again, I was accused of having a bad attitude, which, under the circumstances, I believe was justified.
This experience was appalling, and the lack of customer service in response to what is clearly a fraudulent experience was shocking. I am reporting this incident to the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) Standards Division, as gas stations are legally required to ensure that their pumps accurately dispense fuel.
I will never return to this gas station. I have also noticed that my gas gauge often shows inconsistent fuel amounts when I fill up here, which I initially thought was an issue with my car. Now, I am certain it is due to the station's faulty pumps. This is illegal, and I am determined to ensure it stops. They will no longer be able to steal from their customers.

I have no problem giving my ID when asked but I will never go in this Shell again. The guy that first helped me was nice but the girl was absolutely rude and just very cold. Try getting people who like people when you hire for the public cause you are losing customers with some of your current staff. She doesn't need to work with the public.

I have been coming to this one station because they always had a sale on tobacco and the customer service was outstanding. This was 4 years ago. 3 years later management & staff changed. The greatest employees & management left because they were over worked, struggled to get staff.
I still kept coming but the new manager is absolutely horrible, disrespectful & rude.
The employees there say they are overworked and I see it.
I went to purchase 2 packs of smokes and put in my rewards, my rewards didn't take.
The young man told me it wasn't working. In the past, he would start over and let me try again but today he didn't want to try. Lazy.
I spoke with the manager about returning my purchase. She told me no in a rude manner.
If the young man had tried to put my rewards in the 2nd time, it might have worked.
Again, laziness and unwilling to help.
I remember when this young man started working there and have only seen a decline in customer service.
Is this the new customer service? Disrespecting the customers now. Aren't we the one who help you get a paycheck?
Management is pathetic. You can't have a good staff if you don't take care of your staff.
Oh well, it's only a gas station, what do you expect. Lol.

This is an easy gas station to get in-and-out of. The Marathon across Long Shoals Road is much more difficult to get in-and-out since the access road going into Biltmore Park Townsquare has more traffic and also a divider and occasional pedestrians trying to cross the road with no cross-walks. Fill up at the Shell and avoid the traffic and hassle.

Wow, I love Schlotzsky's but not this one. Ate there today. The bread is not right. It's not airy and it crumbles. The taste isn't right either, too much mustard and not enough olive spread. And the place was dirty and the front mat is a tripping hazard. It's also grossly understaffed. It seems the owner is not up to Schlotzsky's standards. Guess I'll be going to the one in Greenville instead.

So I was so happy to see this place open I have been going now a few years. Not a lot. I keep giving this place a try. A d yet it has not improved. The below poor service, and food temperatures keeps me from going as much as I first thought I would. The lady that has been in the drive through is horrible. Zero attempt at being anything but miserable. Avoid this location . Not good.
