Tried to use the UHaul app to pick up a truck this morning, NOPE. The UHaul app is trash and there was no one available to assist me with picking this truck up.

Incompetence, arrogance and defensiveness beyond belief with no apologies. Scheduled a 26 footer and car tow on-line @ 12-2-21, gave my CC information and preferred pick up location (1st location) at Sweeten Creek Road, Asheville. U-haul called, apparently a gal from a 2nd location, the day before the scheduled pick up to "confirm" the truck availability-except she failed to inform me of the most critical part: "Oh, by the way, you won't be picking up your truck at your "preferred" location." She had only one task. I showed up at my "preferred" location as scheduled at 9:00 AM but then the salesman said he didn't have the truck and no record of the rental. Then he told me I would have to go to a different location to pick it up- while I have two movers on the clock waiting. Incredibly, the original location salesman said defensively when I showed him the receipt," oh, that was only your "preferred" pickup location - there's no guarantee they'll have the truck, despite what the e-mail says." This gal at the 2nd location (Jim Campen) at Airport Road Arden NC where I was directed to pick up the truck avoided the issue that she had forgotten to tell me of the different pick up location over the phone. Either way, the truck and car tow were there, but did not have them ready. More delays. I got so upset, they kicked me out. Absolutely no apologies from either location. Two weeks later 12-15-21, I tried again to rent a truck -this time from a different third location in Fletcher NC. Same thing happened again! This third location had no record of my order/confirmation despite having given them my confirmation #. I had called ahead to double check and even talked to the regional/national coordinator- and learned the truck would not be available at this third location. Again, U-haul had "arranged" and failed to notify me of the location for pickup-again I would have to pick it up at this previous second "no longer preferred" location! When I arrived to pick it up, the gal at this 2nd location blindsided me (U-haul gave me no email notice of the refusal) saying that I was now on the "do not rent to" list- after having used U Haul for 4 trips from Natchez, MS to Elizabeth City, NC and from Elizabeth City to Arden thousands of miles over the past decade. The ultimate in customer abuse. I would not even rely on these people to know their own names!
