This location is "just okay". Not very organized, selection is somewhat lacking, and customer service wasn't very good. While attempting to purchase an item, a female employee came from nowhere and raised the price by 4x before I could complete the purchase. She claimed the item was priced incorrectly though it was behind the counter with them, (priced wrong twice, as there were 2 tags with the same price), yet nobody adjusted the price while in their possession.I wouldn't be surprised if that employee herself wanted to buy the item at the lower price instead of allowing me to buy it.I haven't been to this store in awhile because the last time I was here, I had a similar experience. I feel like my chances of having a better experience would be better if I were to go to any other Goodwill location, so that's what I'll do in the future.

I come here weekly on Mondays/Tuesdays. I'm always greeted by the cashier person & I always walk out with something! They're organized and clean and the staff is very friendly. I've been to other goodwills out if town and nothing compares to the one in Asheboro.

Let me get this off my chest I was supposed to get a pink dress for a party tonight but no I had to go to the party looking like a not happy regular girl because someone took my dress I was supposed to get and I doubt it will be there tomorrow because of some greedy teenager also don’t come looking for me when I am dead

I had to give a star to give a review..... This goodwill is notorious for putting a $1.99 sticker over the Greenbrier label. For those of you that dont know, Greenbrier is Dollar Tree, for years only a dollar, now upped to 1.25. So why does Goodwill charge almost double the original retail price for a donated item.....????? Several years ago my Dad found the employees out back breaking things before putting them in the dumpster. When he questioned them, " If we don't break them the homeless will get them for free instead of coming inside to purchase." What????? What happened to helping the community, what happened to the good will that you are named for???? Due to this I no longer donate to Goodwill. I have continued to shop for the few items I found could save me some money, however today I found a Greenbrier item marked $2.99. The lady in the back sent word that she would not change any prices today.... When you know it is wrong????? What difference does "today" make. Isn't today the day to right a wrong??? This was the last straw for me. I returned my items to their proper places on the shelf and left the store. No more of your version of "goodwill" for me. I agree with another reviewer, this is now a greedy money machine.

I have always loved Goodwill! They have been a little pricey the last few times I’ve been in. A coach jacket was $275. A Ralph Lauren Polo Jean Polo jacket was $100. Any of the coach handbags were $25. Not saying it’s terrible, I understand they need to make a profit to support their mission, however I have been to other thrift store that are more reasonable. I would expect to see those prices at the Goodwill Boutique, not as much at the store. Otherwise, they are great, have an excellent selection, and I enjoy my shopping experience each time!

They have a very small men's section. I always find something in women's and there's not much as far as the kids section. They have a small home section as well.

Let me just say that I have visited Good will stores in a all across the state. I have watched Goodwill morph into the money hungry greed machine it is today. The latest scam is the " want to roundup for our job program ?. " I know this for a fact . The job training center has been closed for three years since Covid made it's debut. So I want to know where that money is going. Not here that's for sure. I have yet to get and answer . Trust me I ask. The one in Asheboro is the worst I have visited. The manager is rude and just unpleasant . The store is laid out like a maze to sell new over priced cheaply made merchandise. They have lost their way. And at a time when the whole country is feeling the pinch and sting of corporate greed and Goodwill is leading the pack. I visited last night was purchasing a toy truck and a brass hanger. This toy was marked 2 bucks and the brass hanger had no price. Cashier called manager on duty. Well lo and behold she decides the toy should be 3 dollars now and proceeds to try and take more from me for something given to her. One dollar. Not much you might say. To me it might as well been one hundred. Keep it all was my response. This store is one to steer away from. Or go and give to an imaginary job program to a store with questionable ethics to a manager with the manners and attitude better suited an IRS agent. Either way she will get all she can.

Goodwill in general never ceases to amaze me with their outrageous prices...3 chairs they took for FREE and they want $75.00?!?!Sometimes the original price sticker is on the item and GW is asking more$?$Greedy....every once in a great while you can find a good deal....but you really have to search. GW use to be the best place to find things..but lately they believe their 1980's press board furniture is " antique" and used lotions and dollar store items are 3.99?I totally understand they need to make a profit, but 99% of the time they are price gouging.

Went to donate some items. Pretty much all new. The guy who was taking the donations, Jerome was his name was apparently having a bad day because he was a big time j*** and very rude. He refused to take brand new bags of wax beads. Why? These aren’t candy, they’re not intimate products. It’s literally wax beads. Before hiring people, make sure they know how to differentiate products. And also teach them to not give dirty looks to people that are donating things because that’s exactly what he did to us. Ridiculous. We will not be donating nor supporting you again.

Today it was a mess. They were taking down all the shelves containing home goods. Those home goods were piled high in buggies. Also appeared they were switching out winter clothes for spring & summer clothes. Racks of clothes were scattered throughout the store. Just not a good time to visit this store. Is not typical.
