I was reluctant to go to the Verizon store in Asheboro but I made an appointment and went in. I will say I was pleasantly surprise. The staff were all very helpful and the sales associate was not only helpful but enjoyable to chat with while my new phone was loading. Would recommend the store and staff to anyone.

The only reason I'm placing a star in the caption is because it's required. Assisted by sales associate who was polite and helpful. I had inquired about a new phone that was out of stock online and assumed the retail store would have it. After being told online they would waive the activation fee, I assumed the store could do the same. After asking this, my sales associate stated that would be on the store manager. He was called over and quickly stated that this could not be done. He did state that I could order online and have it picked up in the store which would take approximately 35 minutes. Not having that time to wait, I chose to leave. Calling back to Verizon online and was able to order my new phone, have the activation fee waived and was very pleased with other assistance (accessories) given. I was even advised that the store showed to have no phones available for transfer and pickup at that Asheboro NC location, or they had not updated their computers to show they had stock. (false sales tactics) I've been a customer for over 30 years and found this to be my least favorable experience at a Verizon retailer. I do understand the stores have commission sales, but this trip cost another upgrade for my wife, son and any other future business with this location. SHOP ONLINE VERIZON!!!!!!! Or drive to Winston-Salem off Hanes Mall... To that manager, thanks you saved me money!

My mother and I went to this store to get her a new phone, and possibly myself a new one as well. The sales rep we dealt with was rude, and acted like we were an inconvenience to him. We asked about the phone, and colors of the phone... he kind of slammed the phones around showing us and acted like we were stupid. I asked to see a color of the phone that was not out and he said "well they're all boxed up in the back." He started to show us a color of another phone that was similar, but we left due to his rudeness and unwillingness to help us. It seems like a sales person would want to make a sale to get commission, but he didn't.

Went to the store to get a replacement phone for one that got damaged. Did not go well at all. Long wait to get served. Most importantly experienced DECEPTIVE SALES PRACTICES and INCOMPETENCE!!! The person who waited on me lied about things and omitted information in order to make a larger sale (ie bigger commission). The bad thing is that the manager on duty at the store actually was an accomplice. I found this out when called customer service line to issue a complaint. The customer service guy actually recommended finding another store. Two hours waisted in the store. More time than needed due to the incompetence of the sales rep. Took 3 times to get the right line activated on the phone, the sales rep actually cut off another phone on the account several times while attempting to activate the new phone.
