The most unfriendly staff and atmosphere I've ever encountered. This was the Tunnel Rd office in Asheville, NC. If you're wanting assistance or have questions about eye glasses, this is NOT the place to go. They acted as if we walked through the door five mins. until closing and it was 3 hours before closing when we visited. I asked for a particular brand of glasses, the lady didn't even look, she just said NO really hateful and didn't even try to look it up, search the database or come to speak with me to find out more of what I was looking for, just rudley replied to the receptionist NO from across the room?. There wasn't no further interaction between the staff and us. I looked for a minute then We just walked out. The receptionist said have a nice day, which I didn't respond. I don't know what happened before we walked in, but whatever it was had the atmosphere so thick, and negative. I will never go back there again!

I’ve visited this location for the past 4-5 years. It’s been consistent when it comes to price, which is unusual in an economy that’s infatuated with raising prices on everything. The staff have been consistently efficient at their jobs, under pressure and when it’s not so busy. My recent experience was just as good, I came in to update my scratched lenses and was told I needed an eye exam first. I did the exam with a telehealth doc in the store and not much changed with my exam. Gave them 6 pairs of old glasses to be updated. Two weeks late new lenses are in and I can’t see out of the glasses. The staff were great! They took the glasses back, all 6 pair, re-examined my eyes via telehealth, agreed my old prescription was a better fit for my comfort. They changed my lenses at not additional cost to me and I’m so happy. The entire experience has been amazing, since day one.

If you all haven't been to America's Best recently, definitely go check it out. They have a lot of new, great technology that made my appointment much quicker. I also had an urgent situation where I needed to leave soon. I was in and out of my appointment so quick. My experience has been that they are a really kind & accommodating team.

The staff at front desk are very impersonal. They act like they hate their job so much. I've worked customer service in a similar role, I didn't always like it, but I still did my job with a smile and friendly banter. I didn't mind the virtual visit with the Dr. I've used America's Best for years now, and have had mostly good experiences.

You get what you pay for. Sat there for two hours & ended up walking out because I had other things to do at a certain time. Complete waste of time. And it wasn’t even for a real person, just a video chat. Very rude employee at the front desk.

Really overall they did a great job and were very friendly, my only complaint was, there were no doctors on-site everything was done remotely, I was lucky that day I wasn't in a rush but what should have taken maybe an hour took over three. The prices on the frames were really good and had have no issue with that, it was the selection that was poor, mainly for the men's. I do feel that the doctor could have been a bit nicer and open to listen to what I had to say with my question and concerns. I'm not saying i wont go back but I may end up waiting until there is more on-site help.

The staff at this location was very helpful friendly and professional when it came to ordering my glasses.With that said, I have been a Americas Best customer for yrs. I have always gone to different location closer to home. I chose this one this time because they had openings sooner than the one I use. I did not find out until an hour after my appointment time that it would be a virtual visit. It is not advertised on the website nor did the staff tell me this at sign in, or have any of sinage in the store stating they do not have a doctor on staff. After I drove a hour and half to get to the store and waited a hour did I find this out. I was EXTERMLY disapointed in this! My appointment time was 12:30 I left the store at 2:30. I had my virtual vist a hour and a half past my appointment time. Americas Best needs to do better at telling its customers ahead of time that the visit is virtual. I will not use this location again!The internet connection was not good and to be honest I did not feel good about talking to a TV screen about a medical issue.

Dang this place getting raked in the comments, but i've never had an issue so leaving my reply. I've been coming here since I got to Asheville because of no vision insurance without issue.Feels like their crew goes above and beyond and actually cares, and any concerns i've had were always addressed promptly. Plus I love my glasses/frames and they last much longer than I expected.

If you want to actually meet with a doctor, don't come here. You'll get a three minute zoom call instead. And, the staff that is there is disrespectful, they will try and push you to spend money you don't need to, and they get extremely pushy when rebuffed. Worst eye appointment I've ever had.

The staff was phenomenal and they were prompt, professional and very knowledgeable about the process. They were really great! That’s why we keep going back. You also can’t beat the price. Why pay more than you should, spend your money ? wisely ?and go to Americas Best for your eyewear.

It's been a while since my last appointment and I was making one and heard that the Dr at the Asheville location Dr. Rodriguez is no longer there. Is this true? I am only willing to trust her because I had 2 Dr before and after that were horrible. She is wonderful and I am only going to make appointments with her.

My first time at this place. The "remote doctor" eye exam is no different than an "in-person" eye exam.One test was not obvious was when they were testing for the little ||| to appear randomly on the screen. I apparently have very twitchy eyes and so they were very faint and all over the place. I did not realize the test had already begun and so we had to do that specific test twice.I was pleased with my eye glasses. I was long overdue.

If you want to use America’s Best go to Johnson City, TN.I have been using America’s Best for about 7 years I think. I stopped going to Asheville during covid because the service declined, understandably. I came in a couple months ago because my regular pair of glasses and sunglasses were in need of some repairs. I had a pleasant experience with the repair lady as she got them secure and totally wearable. I was like wow maybe this place has changed. I got a call to get my regular glasses and came in and things were good again. They told me when my sunglasses came they would call. I waited about a month out of respect and then called. I was then met by Jolessa (I think) on the phone who told me that I had already picked them up and I was just trying to commit fraud! If you know Americas Best you have to trade in your damage frames when you file warranty. She told me that it had been months since I had been in and why was I just calling to find them if I didn’t already get them. I was just in shock and infuriated as I have a terminally ill daughter in the hospital. She continued to be sarcastic and mock me as I asked for a manager. She even had the audacity to apologize to her manager for having to speak to me.Long story short, If you want quality care and quality people to take care of you it’s worth the trip over to TN. They will continue to have me business.

Waited after I made an appointment for over an hour then had to come back the next day. Was able to see the dr and get a prescription however the gum chewing guy that was on crutches couldn't stop chomping his gum long enough to help me with frames. Finally I just asked for my prescription and he said oh so you don't want frames then cool here is your prescription. And I left. Would not go here, definitely 0 stars for professionalism and customer service.

This is my go to for glasses/ contacts. Super friendly, efficient, and affordable place to get my vision requirements handled. I took a hiatus for a year as I moved closer to a different affordable provider. I will just say that I am happy to have returned.
