“Batton Clayworks is must-do when visiting Asheville! We found Batton Clayworks private pottery lesson in a quick Google search and it ended up being the highlight of our trip! Sandy and Anne were both friendly and welcoming. Throughout our lesson, Sandy was patient and kind. We came in with a curious spirit and left with an appreciation for their incredible artistry. Overall we had a playful time and enjoyed making pottery!”

“The crew at his glassworks is the best. I ordered an item that wasn’t suited to the glass I work with a they made the return fast and easy. The offer some products that are impossible to get anywhere else, and quite frankly I would not be cold working if I didn’t have ready access to these items. Even during recent flooding they were back on online unbelievably fast, and donated a percentage of sales to area businesses that were affected.”
“Really great store with a lot of variety and a nice calm atmosphere. Went in to get supplies to learn to drop spindle and the woman at the register was not only super helpful she even gave me some pointers”
“Not a big selection on some things and big difference in the in store price versus online. I think that's unfair, like it's almost half price difference.”
“Fantastic art store! Much bigger than it looks from the outside. I'm glad I stopped in. Found a really nice sketchbook. They have everything here for making your own canvas, lots of different papers, everything you could really want as an artist. And the people are nice too.”
