I attended my first class at ACY today and can not say enough good things. Their mission of accessibility to all is so important and I love their model of pay what you can. On top of that, the class was perfectly challenging for all levels with fair accommodations and challenges mixed in. The studio itself had great vibes, was cleanly, and spacious. The people at the desk as well as the instructor were so friendly and welcoming as they took the time to explain how everything worked and gave each person individual attention. After taking some time away from yoga, I was a bit intimidated to be back in the studio but am grateful to be back in this space. I look forward to coming back and contributing more to this wonderful community.

While visiting the Asheville area, I looked to see what yoga studios would be nearby. This studio has tons of classes all throughout the day with multiple studio rooms available. They have all the props and tools you need, including mats already laid out! I really love how their focus is making yoga available to the community as all of their classes are donation-based. I also thought it was really neat how they put an emphasis on their environmental impact by offering things like secondhand clothing and compostable paper towels. I took a gentle yoga class on a Sunday morning, and it was wonderful. Just what I needed after a day of travel. The class was very full, I think she said around 40 people had signed up. While I do prefer a smaller class size, I was luckily able to find a mat on the edge and still really enjoyed the class. I wish we had a studio like this in the Columbus area!

The perfect option if you are traveling or a local. Inside & outside classes. Rian Austin’s Friday night class was a true delight with a fun figure 4 chair twist. Thank you for letting me practice & reminding me to slow down to breathe.

A gem of Asheville. Wonderful people with such an apparent passion for the community. From the design of the building to the classes they provide, they try their best to include everyone.

ACY is the most welcoming, genuine and supportive yoga studio I’ve ever set foot in. With classes for all levels, unique workshops and a donation based model, there is truly something for everyone. The studio is run with the professionalism and expertise of a corporate studio, but is almost entirely comprised of volunteer teachers and staff, demonstrating how committed the community is to seeing this studio succeed and serve all Asheville residents.I highly recommend this studio for beginners and experienced yogis alike — the diverse array of offerings ensure that you’ll be met where you’re at, and supported in all you do. I’m so grateful to have found this community, and can’t imagine my life in Asheville without it!

This is one of the most special places in Asheville. It's high vibes as soon as you walk in. With donation based classes, great instructors and a cute thrift store this place is so wonderful. The classes fill up so you'll want to make a reservation and also get there early to grab a spot.

Sliding scale prices, well informed and kind teachers + community care as a core value. ?️⚧️ inclusive bathrooms. As far as complaints I’ve heard these are in regards to how some former staff experienced poor treatment.

ACY has been a true life saver for me. After years of not practicing yoga due to intimidation and fear of getting back in the classroom, I found this place. Walking through the door feels like coming home. The campus is beautiful and welcoming. I have had wonderful unique experiences with every teacher/ class I’ve taken so far. They offer a variety of classes for any skill level. It’s donation based and their mission is truly inspiring and one that I want to continue to support. It feels really good to walk in and be part of a beautiful community. If you’re looking for a good yoga studio- I highly recommend this place. ✨

ACY has provided a safe space for me in hard times, a place of refuge and practice. I am forever grateful to the knowledgeable, kindhearted teachers, staff, and the vision of this donation based nonprofit. They have allowed yoga to be accessible to people who may have otherwise never stepped on the mat.I appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and zen vibe in the studios. Sometimes going to a yoga class can bring up insecurity and comparison. I feel like ACY does a good job of setting the scene to come as you are and let go of those fears.

Asheville Community Yoga is an Asheville treasure. They have classes throughout the day at many skill levels. You can start with gentle classes, which are offered throughout the day, and move up to more advanced classes when you feel ready. The instructors are all amazing and sign up is a breeze on the Mindbody app. ACY is a non-profit and many of the instructors are volunteers. They also offer sliding scale to ensure that anyone who wants to, can practice yoga. I highly recommend ACY to anyone who wants to learn and practice yoga.
