This place has been a blessing to my wife and I as we are remodeling an old trailer home. We've replaced all the cabinets, sinks, and now doors, thanks to this Restore.

Come shop where the workers sell your claimed items! Green tags mean NOTHING when you take the other half here. I got a chair, had the tag, and personally took it to the counter and informed the girl that I was going to buy it but just started my shopping and would be done soon. She had me set it off to the side, I showed her I had the other tag and she said it would be fine. NOPE! She immediately sold it to someone else! When I asked why she would sell it during the protected hour of a claim on it and to someone without the other tag, she just shrugged and said it was open to buy even though it’s stated throughout the store that it’s company policy to hold it for an hour. She could have just apologized but instead refused to acknowledge that she lied to me and went against company policy. Wish I had gotten her name or a manager but she was so intolerable I just left. Clearly common sense isn’t her strong point.

So if the employees tell you you can leave something up front, don't some low life thief walked right up and stole my computer chair and the lady behind the counter watched it happen. She told me I could leave it there while I shopped I already paid for it! That's low to steal my chair I already paid for it!

While I have shopped many Habitat for Humanity ReStore's and loved all the treasures I have found, this review is directed to the deconstruction and donation department specifically.I am an Interior Designer and I was looking for a reliable and affordable option for a kitchen deconstruct for my client. My points of contact, Michelle and Colin could not have been friendlier and responsive. All my questions were answered in a timely manner and a date was added to the calendar for my project. The team arrived on time, worked together, handled the cabinets, granite, remaining walls and floors with precision and care. Further, they were all happy to help! They left my clients home cleaner than when they arrived. One of the best parts was the cabinets were taken to H4H to be resold.I highly recommend the deconstruction and donation crew at Habitat for Humanity. I will continue to shop and reach out to Michelle and her team for future projects. You are all doing amazing, keep doing what you're doing!

Website says they close at 6. I got there at 5:50 to run in and check the lighting section. After browsing for 5 minutes an employee came up to me and said they are practically closed and to come back after the weekend. I let them know I was from out of town and was just running in to browse for an item and they condescendingly responded by saying, “Oh they don’t have a Restore in your town?”

I knew Asheville had a top notch Habitat store as I’ve volunteered and have shopped there for 12 plus years , but when I visited stores in notable big cities in Tennessee, I was in disbelief the difference . The folks at the Habitat restore and all the volunteers that support it Bravo for all you do . Ashevilles habitat restore is a crown jewel ?

I’m not one to leave reviews but after the embarrassment I went through today, I couldn’t just shake this off or let it go. For the first time in my life, I was basically accused of marking down a price tag in front of everybody upon checking out. There was a small wooden bell looking figurine that was marked .50 and the cashier named Nancy (white older woman) said, “somehow I find that price hard to believe, I’m going to call my manager.” Mind you, she calls the manager overhead for price check and there was already a long line as I was purchasing a lot of things. So a lot of people was hearing her disbelief. It was humiliating! Somehow I felt like if I was of different race, she wouldn’t have questioned if that item was really that price. The reason I say this is cause there was a white lady who was behind me who I had go ahead before me since she only had 1 item. Anyway, she was excited to get this one casserole dishware for $4. An ovenproof Pyrex dishware for $4 wasn’t questioned but a figurine for .50 cents is questionable?! Thankfully the manager backed me up and said that the price is most likely accurate as “someone was sick and so there’s a newbie that was doing the pricing.” Needless to say, they really need to do better with who they accept to work for them because they don’t need racist individuals pulling their image down. Or figure out a way to train them to not falsely accuse individuals of stealing in front of everybody. If they suspect that, they need to review the cameras first to save themselves embarrassment when they realize that I’m an honest person.I’m a little sad that this happened cause I was excited to shop at this thrift store cause I knew for sure the proceeds go to a great cause and I’ve always loved thrift shopping. I’ve never been accused of anything in my life so I’m a little scarred and now the memory I have of my vacation to Asheville is being humiliated in front of everyone for a figurine! I should have just thrown that lady $100 for that stupid thing now to make a point but then what’s the point of thrift shopping after all right? Okay end of rant.

Ever changing inventory guarantees you will never have the same experience here twice. Even if it'd on the same day! From household repair items such as nails and screws to paint and wall putty, if you I need a front door, a kitchen cabinet, lighting fixtures or a toilet check out Asheville habitat for humanity first and save some money...because that's only a small portion if what is on offer. Upstairs there are tons of household items. Decor items, a good size book section, couches, chairs/ recliners, dinette sets...plus everything to set it with! You'll find craft items, curling wands, dishes, kitchen appliances...last time I even found rand new in the box Harley Davidson parts. You just never know...

The guy who helped me load a dresser into my car was extremely helpful. He was super careful about it and also gave me advice on fixing part of it. I think his name is Kevin. Also the ladies at the checkout were super sweet and nice.
