So being completely honest. I am terrified of the dentist. I've already accepted that I will be getting dentures in the next month because they are so bad. I'm 41 so to me it feels early but got to do what you got to do. I called last week to make an appointment with Aspen dental in Asheville, North Carolina got an appointment at 8:00 a.m. because I had three abscessed teeth at which two rounds of antibiotics were taken in order to get rid of the infection so that they could be pulled. Because they were abscessed I took antibiotics obviously to get rid of the infection which actually ended up being two rounds of antibiotics because of the extent of the abscess. When the appointment was made exact wording was with your appointment. This early doc should be able to pull that tooth. That's hurting you so bad cuz we do not want you in pain! We go in. I have some old school bite on this and turn every way type x-rays like the ones we did as kids back in the mid-80s lol. The RAD tech was awesome. However, the equipment was outdated and at one point the whole system was placed right under the tooth that was broken and causing the pain and whenever I closed my mouth on it, the tooth cracked further and you could hear it! Literally no response. Other than well make sure you bite down hard enough so we can get it. After this, it's like a 20 minute wait for the doctor to come in. Literally pry her instruments into the teeth that were killing me. I mean not just like tap. Is this the one that hurts. No! You think! ridiculous. Then the discussion with the dentist completely change within the time she talked to us and the time she turned and told her assistant to chart it. Nothing at all was done to help other than a referral to somebody else after all of that. When I asked why she couldn't pull it or the two actually she stated the one needs to be done by an oral surgeon and it's really just best that they do all of them if they're going to do one.? I'm sorry what!?! Yeah so I grabbed my purse and headed tf out of the door. NEVER AGAIN! I left in more pain and with no help. I called affordable denture in Asheville and they're pulling them at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow! And I'll be getting dentures within the next couple of weeks. DO NOT GO TO ASPEN DENTAL

I was an Aspen Dental patient for about 2.5 years and have left them dissatisfied to say the least. In 2.5 years of visiting this office regularly, I only saw the dentist one time - only after insisting I wanted to see an actual dentist (and waiting an extra hour). The dentist I finally saw told me I needed a lot of work done, and after getting 2 second opinions this was deemed completely unnecessary.Pros1) They are cheap2) They offer in-house savings plan that substitutes for insurance3) A lot of the staff are greatCons1) They seem to constantly have new dentists who have no idea who you are or your treatment history.2) They NEVER answer the phone3) Transferring to a new dentist is made difficult due to them not sharing x-rays. They say it is a HIPAA violation, but I tried picking them up myself in person (because they never answer the phone) and they wouldn't provide files. I clearly am consenting to have my own x-rays, which in no way can create a violation.4) Seeing a dentist every 2 (despite visiting 4-6 times) is neglectful.

Administrative protocol regarding appointments made through the call center and then confirming with the dentist's office is in shambles. Don't be surprised to find out your appointment has been cancelled when you show up at the office.

Beware!! The dentist I saw told me I needed to have a lot of work done that didn't need to be done according to another dentist I saw for second opinion. I would NOT recommend & I won't be going back. It is very commercialized & they only care about the money, not the patient. I've also been told they work on commission. So the more work they tell you you need (regardless if it's true or not) the more money they make.

My dad needed a tooth pulled and was in pain! They gave him antibiotics and said they need to confirm with his Dr. to pull his tooth for health concerns? After him giving them the info multiple times and him even calling his Dr. and his Dr. confirmed he gave them the okay, they STILL gave him the run around for over 3 weeks and is out of antibiotics. Plus he already had a different tooth pulled a couple months ago at a different place, no problem. Do NOT waste your time with this place!

Prior to Dr. Michele leaving I had a perfect experience. Nothing could have ever been wrong in my eyes at this place but it took me almost 8 months to get back In the chair much to my surprise that Dr. Michele is not even there anymore. In fact, no one is there anymore that used to be there. It was an awful experience. All the way around but I said I will give them another chance so the next time I go back on 15 November if it is a better experience, I will change my review! Definitely not until!! If I had been notified, there was a new doctor and everything I would’ve been OK but I was told they were working on the left side when in fact they were working on the right side. I had two small cavities in one little larger cavity on that right side. Well, they didn’t even have it in their system that I had the larger cavity. Needless to say, today was the worst day ever in my life at a dentist office

Man honestly I hate leaving this review. It started out great, everyone was nice then I had more cancellations than appointments. The final straw was the girl hanging up on me today. The 2 stars are because I called and had the $2500 refunded no problem from Aspen corporate office. It’s a shame.

People are so nice, except the white receptionist, attitude. Rude. And she did apologize but with attitude!! Getting my teeth done and that great. Dr just doesn't listen, my sensitive to needle. I hurt for over a week and still do. She Scruggs. But all good.

I have had excellent care by all the staff at Aspen Dental. From the front desk to insurance help to hygienist and the dentist, all have been fantastic (after they finally got a dentist hired, that is).

1st appointment end of July with sore tooth. No internet so incomplete service. I tried for 2 weeks of calling to get back in and left messages when available. Finally they called me back. I went back mid August but had to have X-rays. Finally mid September got my tooth fixed. Now , I have insurance that pays first $2,000 so was surprised when I got an estimate for $265. My insurance company tried to contact them but no answers. Finally after third try, different day they made contact. Aspen dental, Oops sorry, no charge. The office girl is doing the work of 4 people. Do better.

I go to Aspen Dental on Tunnel Rd. in Asheville, NC. I just left there. The dentist, Sara Kahi, was as brilliant as ever. She makes me feel comfortable, and that's a big deal when sitting in a dentist's chair. Pleasant, cheerful and positive come to mind. She is friendly and polite and, frankly, makes me want to return there. Her office assistant, Lashanda Gwinn, is equally as kind and friendly as Ms. Kahi. She has a wonderful sense of humor and appreciation while, meanwhile, efficiently attending to the business of the office. She is SO nice! The whole office staff are enjoying their work, and it is readily apparent. Hat's off to them!

I made an appointment one day last week. The day before my appointment they send me an email saying they are going to have to reschedule my appointment. So I called and told them they said they would call me back to reschedule but they never did.
