Charging $4.99 per gallon for Diesel fuel when other stations in town have it priced $3.60-$3.90. Ridiculous. I didn't notice until after I pumped, and pointed this out and they didn't seem to care much. Won't be getting fuel there again anytime soon.

Typical neighborhood bodega. Would've given 5 stars but they do not accept EBT which is something highly sought after, especially in this area.

Let's be honest, BJ's is more of an experience simply a food mart. They have basic sundries, lotto mumbo jumbo, shady supplements, and sometimes even crisp white t-shirts are for sale. The owners/operators/employees work behind a big glass wall and are the level of friendliness that you might imagine. They /do/ sell gas, however, I rarely see folks stopping by for that, but the analog pumps (no pay at the pump options) are nostalgic. Parking is a little limited. I think most folks stop by from the surrounding neighborhood on foot. I definitely recommend stopping in.

I went in there to buy me a drink and some kind of candy. When all of a sudden the Indian lady came and snatched the drink and mentos out my hand and told me to get out for no reason. I thought that maybe she thought that I was stealing so I pulled out my pockets in front of her to show her that I wasn't and I had done nothing wrong and she still told me to get out and not come back.

Lady cashier (Owner) wouldn't accept SNAP as payment for BAKING SODA, 1st stated that it's not a 'food', Then I pointed out that it has a "Nutrition Facts" label (That defines it as a FOOD.. By the USDA), STILL argued and Refused !! She pointed out that it has a "Drug Facts" label, so it's NOT a 'Food' ALL other stores accept SNAP as payment !! USDA website's FAQ states that " Baking soda has a 'Nutrition Facts' label and is therefore eligible for purchase with SNAP benefits" I showed her the website and She STILL Refused !! Said "I have a list" I went and got cash.. A 8 oz box of Arm and Hammer Baking soda sells for 99 CENTS elsewhere... She wanted to change $ 2.19 !!!! Other than that !! Great Place & USUALLY Friendly !!

....I see there's one review, and honestly I'm from Chicagoland. The guy working was hilarious, cheap cigs and gas. He's a gentleman and a scholar, but very sarcastic so I'd suggest everyone with a open mind

Fascinating place. There seems to be more going on here than just gas and I don't know what it is but it sure feels that way. The people behind the counter seem genuinely nice. Gas is good price as well. They gave me my beer in a brown paper bag which I opened and drank on the walk home. I found out later that I shouldn't have done that as it is illegal (drinking your beer on your walk home, not the brown paper bag) and won't be doing it again but will be returning to BJ's for future beer and gas purchase.
