Biltmore Wine Shop

Hours: Biltmore Wine Shop is located on the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, a tourist attraction that includes a mansion, winery, and beautiful grounds. The shop itself is large with a very nice and great selection of wines at very reasonable prices. It also features a small gift shop. A highlight is the free wine tasting, which is very enjoyable and includes samples of wine and sometimes cider. It is highly recommended to make a reservation ahead of time for this popular activity, as there is only a stand-by line otherwise. The staff is friendly and provides good service, offering advice and help locating items. The shop is beautiful and can be accessed through a magical tunnel decorated with lights and informational signs. To the back of the wine shop is a wine bar where you can buy bottles without a corkage fee and order very good shareable plates, like cheese plates, with outdoor seating available. The experience is fun and highly recommended for visitors to the area.
