This review is solely about the Asheville office (have no issues with online Schwab, and had my accounts there for many years). My only interaction was to deposit a check and have a chat about local office services. After that the Asheville office did some things that were inappropriate, to say the least. As a result, i transferred my accounts from schwab to another firm.

We had a death in the family and needed to close accounts. CS was not helpful or kind. Instead they handed me a 1-800 number to call where I had to stay on hold for a while before a person took down some info and said that they would get back with me in approximately 28 days. This is despite the fact that my mom is listed as the beneficiary on the accts. I haven't had this much trouble with any company I've had to interact with after my dad's passing.

I feel very confident using the Charles Schwab online platform to self direct my investments. I especially appreciate the ease of research and making trades.

Have yet to visit this new, easily located office, however we have always received exemplary service from our advisor in Asheville, Mr. David Vance. Schwab has always provided us with clear, knowledgeable guidance and advice from both this and other offices for over 20 years.

Walked into a rude stuffy man who had zero empathy for a customer being treated poorly by a bureaucratic institution. Schwab are experts in customer blaming. They don't accept responsibility for anything they mess up and will admit they don't take care to make sure things are done properly. I would take your business elsewhere.

Glad to find this place. New to town and have a Schwab account. Now I can make deposits in person.They just moved to a new location. Fancy new officeStaff is exceptionally in knowledgeable and efficient. I had been opening new accounts on line, but in store is so much faster.They even have notary for power of attorney docs.

I have had the same experience as the above reviewer. I had one session with the guy there and established an account. I needed another meeting to transfer some stock to fund the account . Because I was sick, I cancelled one meeting with the understanding that I would call and reschedule. I called again and left a message. No answer and so five days later I called and left another message, no answer for days. I called and left a message with the desk. Days later no answer. I called an 800 number and got someone who put me on hold, then came back and told me the agent was busy but would be calling me later. It is now a week and I have had no call. I am going to find someone else.
