Food was great, portions not huge. Pricey, but worth it. Chef came out and asked his patrons how were they enjoying their food....you rarely see that. I would return.

We’re here for a marriage conference, and our dinner at fig was one of the highlights of the weekend. Best meal we’ve had in a long time! Amazing food, service (thanks, Charlotte!), and the gift of being able to linger. ❤️

From the cheese plate and evening special radicchio salad to the short ribs and heavenly bolognese, everything was delicious. This was our last night in Asheville and we definitely left the best for last!

Fig Bistro was a very delicious! The potato bacon soup was pretty flavorful and a bit different then potato soup that I’m used to - less chunky and more smooth. The market fish was a trout was delicious with more of a citrus taste. The salmon was tasty with a bit of a lighter buttery flavor. The apple tart dessert was very good as well! Our waiter was very attentive. The place was smaller but comfortable.

It’s a small bistro and like most small bistros it can be a little loud. It’s just part of the atmosphere-like the staff and all the people having a good time with each other. It is dinner for lunch for us- we live outside of Asheville and probably come in 10 plus times a year. There are steady favs like the mussels, salmon, quiche, salads and sometimes on the menu-steak frites. In the cooler months the Bolognese Ragu is a must. You can always find a good wine as well. My guess is a huge chunk of their business are regulars- even from outlying towns like the one we live near. Steady reliable good fare you can count on with a great friendly staff. Our fav even with all the other great places to eat in Asheville. 2024 is our 12th year-I think.

Everything was great. My friend, and I couldn’t have asked for a better waiter, better food, and nicer atmosphere. This is one of my favorite places in Asheville for lunch and it never disappoints.

This is a "never disappoints" place. Excellent dinner and service. This is our "go to" place for special occasions and just a dinner out. THANK YOU!!

We had heard good things about Fig and gave it a try for lunch. Their reputation is well deserved. We had the Casiolet and the quiche and both were outstanding. The atmosphere was less formal than we expected and very quaint.

We loved the atmosphere! Started with the Pomme Frites and they were delicious - we could have each had our own bowl and licked it clean, no dipping sauce needed! One in our party had the Duck Confit, one had the Ribeye and another had the smashburger - again, all were absolutely delicious! We decided to splurge and get dessert and chose the black currant bread pudding drizzled with crème and ganache, could not have picked better desserts. When we are back in the area will definitely stop and eat at fig again.

The Rueben was hands-down the best thing I have eaten in Asheville, and we’ve been to some great places. They cure the pastrami themselves, the sauerkraut was perfect, marble rye was on point. Upgrade the fries to truffle parmesan. Staff was very attentive, place was lively. We will be making this a regular stop :)

Stop by for a quick lunch, but it was anything but quick. There were about four tables with people when we arrived, which did look like much. The inside was very small but the decor was nice. I ordered a sweet tea to drink, which was not sweet at all. It tasted okay considering. For lunch, I ordered the chef special potato and leek soup with a Caesar salad. It took quite a while for our order to come out. I didn't like any of the dishes. The soup was very bland. There is no seasoning and very little flavor. The salad was made with the worst parts of the romaine lettuce the light colored hard parts and the dressing was sour. Was very disappointed on the food. The service was mediocre but not terrible. They seemed like they might be having trouble with another table that took their attention away. All in all I would not recommend this place. I might give it another try in the future.

Very delightful little bistro. Menu is short but entrees are complete and creative as with apps and desserts. Two reasons I didn't give a five star, just didn't realize menu was short but again coverage for any taste was there. Only other downside, which was our fault, is it was a little hard to find. It kinda blended in and for first timers just a little hard to find. But, worth it, food and service were excellent! Ambiance was well appointed and just the right size. I would recommend reservations at peak times.
