We purchased a laptop for our daughter from Best Buy in February 2021 and bought the 3 year full geek squad warranty to protect our purchase. The laptop had ongoing issues with the battery and charging, as well as overheating after being on for a short time. It was a lemon. We brought it in for geek squad service and repair for this specific and recurring issue 3 times and they would ship it out and then call us to pick it up in store (the store is 15 minutes from where we live). The fourth time that the same issue with the battery came up we took it in and per the geek squad warranty, we asked for a replacement laptop of equal value, and instead of complying with the warranty they said that they would send it out to be "junked" at the service center and they would go from there. So we gave them the laptop for the 4th time (all these repairs happened inside of a year and a half) expecting them to call us to pick up a new laptop of equal or lesser value, but instead they repaired the laptop a 4th time, instead of complying with the terms the geek squad warranty that we purchased. They then proceeded to ship the laptop to our old address after it was repaired (for the 4th time on same issue) which is an hour and a half drive away. I guess they didn't want us to bring up the fact that we were expecting a new laptop when we picked it up, so they shipped it elsewhere, even though we've never requested that it be shipped in the past or even this time. Thankfully, we know our old neighbors and were able to recover the laptop safely. This morning the laptop is again cycling on and off and not holding a charge, like it has the last 4 times that the repair center has "repaired" it, but now we have reached our expense limits for repairs and the warranty has ended. Best Buy does not honor the geek squad warranty that clearly states that they will replace the laptop if the same issue is not fixed after 3 attempts at repair. Instead, they will deliberately NOT honor their own warranty, and you will be stuck with a lemon laptop. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE GEEK SQUAD WARRANTY, THEY WILL NOT HONOR IT.

Horrible horrible service. Dropped my computer off while on vacation saying they'd need to ship it. They did not. They kept it at the store. Called 5 times and could not get through to anyone. It's been a month computer-less. Do not go here.

Geek squad is ineffective. They have had to send a 3rd person for something the first person did wrong over 2months ago. Don't waste your time.

Told to come in without an appointment for a new battery. When I arrived was told I needed to have an appointment. When I arrived the next week I was told they didn’t have the battery in stock. That’s two hours of my life! Total frustration. They’re smart enough to send an email checklist to make sure I was prepared with my phone to have the battery changed. They were not smart enough to send me an email saying they didn’t have the battery in stock. Total garbage!

Trouble with my ipad, my diagnosis was it needed a new battery. Took to Best Buy in Asheville, treated like a idiot. Said just needed to buy a new one. Went back to sales, treated like dirt. Took ipad to Batteries plus Bulbs, they replaced battery, works like a charm. If I ever need anything from Best Buy will not go to Asheville store.

It's sadly true that the customer service is not what you would hope it to be. That said, I'm pretty sure this stems from poor corporate decisions and toxic upper management. I'm convinced this is a Best Buy issue not generally a staff problem--of course, tell that to the over the top rude customer service dude I spoke to after the in store staff experience. I will never buy from Best Buy anywhere again.

Kody, in Mobile Installations, was an amazing young man. He was to install a new back up camera on my car, but first had to remove the old one installed 4 years ago when we lived in Marietta, Ga. God love him - Kody started to remove the old unit when he found one big (and dangerous) wiring mess. What should have taken 2 hours turned into 4 hours because the more he got in there the more he found. He worked and worked until he reconfigured the wiring and was able to instal the new back up camera perfectly. He is not only so knowledgeable, professional and courteous, he is ethically sound. We tried to tip him for his hard work, but he wouldn't take it. Apparently it is company policy for Best Buys - no gratuities. If anyone earned our gratitude in the form of cash tip, it was Kody. At a time when work ethics are low, Kody is one of the good guys whose future is bright!

Nate was amazingly helpful assisting me in buying, setting up, and buying accessories for my new iPhone. I have had nothing but good experiences with all the staff at this store anytime I have shopped here.

Very poor customer service. I went in on Black Friday and purchased almost $1000 worth of electronics. One of them was supposed to be sent to my house but when it got there it was not what I ordered and when I went back to the store for them to try to make it right for me the manager on duty named "Jessica" refused to make anything right she's very rude and when my purchase was finished she proceeded to crumble up my receipt and I and did not want to give it to me. I have never seen such poor customer service and my life and this will cost less by a customer because I will not go back. The only reason I give them one star is because you have to give a star on here if it wasn't from that they would have zero stars right now. Best Buy on tunnel road SUCKS
