“Most days, I find myself in need of a trinket. Or in need of a smiling face. Both of these needs are always met upon visit to instant karma. I have never had the honor of being in the presence of such awesome people all in one place. My Mom was always Santa growing up. Always the birthday person. The gift giver. Her gifts always mean something. For the last 5 years, I've been able to be that gift giver for her. Her home is decorated with trinkets and odds n ends from instant. Not to mention the awesome little animal stone carvings that make for a perfect gift to give friends. I can't say enough good things about the business and the people there. Brick and mortar don't make a business, the people you hire do.
You've got some of the greatest humans on earth working there. Along with the coolest trinkets, shirts, costume jewelry, and all of the ingredients to make a tacky home a little bit more spiffy.
It's been an honor as a patron and regular. As someone who's lived in Asheville for generations, an Instant Karma location makes every neighborhood that much better.”

“Selling my home in Western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene was challenging, but Ryan made the process seamless. His pricing strategy, market insights, and communication were exceptional — and his calm professionalism kept the sale on track through inspection, contractor repairs and closing. Despite tough conditions, the house sold at a 50% profit over the purchase price. Ryan’s deep local knowledge, experience and integrity make him an outstanding choice for anyone buying or selling in the Asheville area. 10/10 – Highly recommended!”

“The Bee Charmer is such a vibe. Definitely worth visiting just for the experience, even if you don’t intend to buy anything. Their prices are pretty steep, although they do have lip balms and little trinkets that are affordable. They also have a honey sampling bar, which everyone in our group got a kick out of, highly recommend.”

“In a pinch, I found my new favorite pair of sunglasses at a great price! I live locally, and have been putting off buying new ones for 2 years and nothing really spoke to me or prices would put me off, but I spotted these and knew instantly they were the ones for me. Thank you!!”

“Was visiting from North Florida for few days, (stayed in Marshall, N.C.), and my significant other and I wanted to get some souvenirs for our trip up to North Carolina. Looked up few places locally and came across Moonlight Makers. It sounded interesting and wanted to check it out. It was somewhat difficult to find, but easy to walk to from parking garage across the street... Once arriving, it was a very nice store or establishment, and had many items locally made, and what seemed like nice variety or selection of goods or items to choose from. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was wonderful! We browsed for little bit, and our cashier was very nice also. Hope to visit Asheville again soon, and thank you all for a great experience!”

“Sanctuary of Stuff is a unique gift shop in Woodfin (north of Asheville). There's a fun vibe, with beautiful pottery, glass, jewelry, clothing, homewares and baby things made by artists, many of them local. Perfect place to find something for that hard-to-buy-for person. The owner was very friendly. We'll definitely be back!”

“We stopped in this store and the owners were so helpful and sweet. We purchased a cream for my son's eczema (Sunshine Cream) after trying so many various store brand creams without finding any relief. After 3 days of use, his tough spots were already significantly better! We are so glad we stopped in and will continue to order this and other soaps online. Not only natural items, but so effective. Thank you!!”

“Really glad we stopped here! Lots of souvenirs and artisan crafts which is right up my alley. The store attendant was very helpful and chatty. There was adequate parking which is more than I can say about many of the downtown shops. I loved seeing the local art on display!”

“Looking for an ornament and I didn't need the smart reply from the shop worker. Yes, I get the 2025 Biltmore ornaments are sold out and yes I see you're selling to 2026 ones but that is mot want I want. Why would I buy a 2026 ornament in December of 2025. She replied well, because no one wants to buy a 2025 in January and they (meaning the sales dept) took the sells from 2024 and decided they shouldn't make as many. That makes absolutely no dang sense, because why would a company take sales from a year that a natural disaster happened and project for the next year. That's just bad business. Pissed that we traveled all this way for our anniversary just to see a 2026 Biltmore ornaments for sale. ?‍♀️?‍♀️?‍♀️ Good thing, I am a handy lady and i will make my own special Biltmore anniversary ornament. Biltmore sales, do better.”

“Visited here to get a souvenir after visiting the Biltmore. I found a really nice Christmas ornament to hang on the tree. Staff was friendly and helpful, they even game me a 30% discount on the item when I had no idea a sale was going on. Would recommend stopping by to pick up some nice souvenirs after your visit to Biltmore.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Ele and the incredible job she did on my custom embroidery! Not only was the quality of her work absolutely top-notch—clean, professional, and exactly what I envisioned—but she managed to complete everything in under 22 hours. That kind of turnaround is practically unheard of, and she pulled it off flawlessly.

Ele went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my work shirts were ready on time, and the attention to detail really shows. From communication to craftsmanship to speed, she exceeded every expectation I had. If you're looking for someone who truly cares about their craft and delivers with excellence, look no further than Ele. She’s a total pro, and I’ll absolutely be returning for more!”

“I shop in Himalayas Import every time I visit Asheville, great vibes and goods. Very last time a jacket I bought was defective, seams weren't sewn properly it turns out. Discovered back home in GA. A good company will apologize and all. A great company makes it right in a pleasant and expeditious manner. This is where Himalaya sits.. great company!”

“The ladies were very helpful and assisted me with finding some items. Also explained their rewards programs in my app and how to maximize using my rewards! Will definitely be back! Went back into the store again today and received excellent service from Emma and the manager on duty, forgot his name. We needed to see items up on the wall and they grabbed them down and had smiles on their faces all times! They were very nice and polite!”
