I enjoy looking around at the merchandise in Goodwill because 'one persons donation is another persons treasure.'

Item was placed on the shelf in electronics with no power cord. Gentleman working said when he put it out that it had one. I looked through the section and did not find it. My wife went to the counter to see if they would take off 5$ because we would have to go buy a power adapter (which is def more than 5$) so we figured they would be cool about it. The cashier just dismissed my wife saying there was nothing she could do and when the manager with black hair came up she was incredibly rude. I then walked to the register and the manager, after being incredibly snotty to me, calls her manager and says “that woman called her MAN and now he wants to speak to you.” Her boss came up and was sweet and just explained their policy is to not adjust prices and I explained “isn’t your policy to put working electronics on the floor as well? If it doesn’t work then please remove it so other people like me are not going to buy something that doesn’t work.”. The middle manager said “well, you can always go buy it new!” And stormed off.Ridiculous.A man behind us in line even said “Man! What a B****, you’re a better man than me!”.All I was doing was trying to be treated civilly and with respect and was treated as a nuisance when I had a very reasonable concern.I paid for my other goods and left and will never return and I hope that middle manager is fired.Everyone else there was polite and cool.

I've been shopping at this Goodwill since I moved to Asheville during the pandemic. After that long, you get to know the faces of the people who have been there the longest, how hard they work and how dedicated they are to their job. But recently, this Goodwill hired a new manager - the one with black hair. It's so disappointing to see her interact with the employees and the customers. I mentioned to one of the employees, who was putting out stuff, that I was moving across country and he stopped for two seconds to ask where. She pounced on him like a vulture. She came over and hit him on the shoulder with a tube and said, "You know better. You cannot talk to people, you have to keep those baskets moving. Remember, you're still under a trial period and if you want to work here, you have to keep working." Wow! Since when is customer service a value that Goodwill doesn't want in their employees. When asked to do returns, she's like a military sergeant, demanding people around, making it seem like everyone is below her.Today I dropped off about $400 worth of donations to goodwill. She was out there collecting and didn't bring a basket. Instead, she made me take out each box and stand there with it until she delivered the last item and then came and took it from me. When I tried laying a small box on the ground, she demanded I pick it up and said, "Goodwill doesn't allow anything to be put on the ground because the employees might hurt their backs picking it up." I also had a full container of brand new laundry detergent I didn't need, so I asked if she could give it to one of the employees, who might could use it. She said, "Absolutely not. The employees aren't even allowed to shop here. Two days before Christmas and she can't give a new laundry detergent to someone/anyone for free??? Instead she made me take it with me and I didn't get so much as a thank you or tax receipt for my donations. I realize Goodwill needs good people to work for them, but remember your core values - you're there to put people to work - not make their lives miserable by hiring people who think they are dictators of the world. This woman needs to go, for the sake of everyone.

Great goodwill! I found multiple decent name brands and good quality and condition. Huge women's tops selection

I went here to donate a few boxes of clothes and was met with the rudest donation employee. He gave me a terrible attitude for walking my boxes up instead of driving through their drive through. Not sure what difference that would have made considering there were no other people in line to donate. I understand working here is probably miserable, but you would think they could at least say “thanks” for donating tons of clothes for the company to profit off of. Wishing I would have found somewhere else to donate my clothes.

I've been to several different goodwill stores, this is by far the worst. Every thing scattered throughout the store and some of the clothes had visible dirt on them.

This location is usually busy but they have a large selection of housewares and clothes to browse through. Just be careful of others when you shop.

I love everything about this particular goodwill store. Staff is very friendly and will go out of their way for you. Not as busy as other locations I've been to. I can shop all day and still want to keep looking.

Lots of good stuff, some of the staff are rude, I get it though. Everyone should have to work a customer service job :)

Extremely rude cashier working today, October 4, 2023 at 5 o'clock. Threw my receipt at me. Shamed me for not rounding up my total to the nearest dollar. Terrible customer service

Pretty decent store. The aisles are so tiny, you’d think it’s some kind of sick joke. It was crowded, but maybe that’s partially the fault of people like me who give this place positive reviews on google dot com.

I had the rudest employee this morning when I went to donate clothes and household goods. he bruskly asked what I had and when I mentioned a headboard got snippy and told me he didn't want it. he then proceeded to walk inside the building, saying put your stuff here indicating on the curb. I had a trailer full of stuff and there's 100 pound woman. It would've been nice for him to offer to help unload. I instead poked my head and told him that it would be wise to be kinder to people who are trying to donate to the organization and told him I would take my donations elsewhere. its not great to treat those who keep goodwill stocked with such rudeness!!
