Located in the heart of downtown Asheville, the historic Grove Arcade is home to some of Asheville's best local shops, restaurants, and lifestyle services. Opened in 1929, its ornate architecture has been beautifully preserved, highlighted by the iconic glass ceiling that fills the space with natural light. On the building's south side is Makers Market, an outdoor marketplace featuring a rotating selection of local artisans. Upstairs, the building is home to commercial office space and spacious, luxury apartments called "Residences at The Grove Arcade". From its shops, to its restaurants, to its rich history, no visit to Asheville is complete without a walk through the historic Grove Arcade.
Nice indoor shopping mall that also has stores and restaurants on the outside. There are some nice galleries and shops inside with locally designed products.

Originally opened in 1929, the arcade fell into disrepair. It was eventually renovated and reopened to the public in 2002. The architecture is beautiful with a lot of Art Deco touches. The arcade now includes offices and hi-end retail. It is beautiful and well worth a visit.

Beautiful historic and with apartments above it. What a fantasy to shop and live here. Bring lots of money. Arts, furniture, food, clothes, chakra fixing, and anything else. Mostly for shopping but get your food across the street. It may be the oldest mall in America.
