Great selection with choices for everyone. Great pricing as well, some of the best in the area and all around. Lots of space to browse through the crates! Super nice staff too!

Great selection of used and new metal records. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Asheville.

This is the only place I’ve been to where I can buy a krautrock CD, a city pop CD, and a jazz fusion CD all at the same time. Most stores offer none of that, so I automatically like Harvest Records for its eclectic CD selection.

This place is definitely the best in town. I had them notify me when the new Hozier record came out and had a seamless pickup. The staff is super cool and always willing to discuss music. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

This is vinyl nirvana and not only sits on top of the hill, it sits on top of the heap of collector world at least in Asheville! Come to think of it the building itself is a lovely golden harvest color so just bespeaks music-nourishment-found-within! Came into town to catch Nick Cave at Harrah's and in doing some research on where we might find some Nick Cave classics, easily found Harvest Records which is a fun place to search out and feels bit of an adventure just getting there but that kind that makes all exertion worth it! Sits in a very inviting retail area and old neighborhood. Only sad not more time to explore! Found a good parking spot and headed on in! It seemed fitting that there's a raised counter as if one must look up to the lords of music for taking inquiry and they found us worthy and pointed us to the Cavebin of Nick Cave! I jest of course as the staff was so completely welcomiing and understood the value of hospitality and customer service! Found a perfect album I owned already on CD but not vinyl and snatched it up for the collection! Special thanks to the management for being supportive of promoting one of my upcoming events in Savannah and just all around good natures! Don't pass GO! STOP here!

I love Harvest! The staff is always kind and helpful, they have an excellent selection, and they pay a fair price for your used records. Favorite record store in town!

Very friendly staff and large selection.Update: I've traveled to other areas of the country and this remains one of the best, if not THE best, record stores I've been to. The folks who run the place remain committed to getting good music into your hands, and I really value that. They have an amazing amount of music in stock for the size of the place, with good taste to boot. And if they don't have it? They try to find it or keep on eye out for you. I appreciate that level of customer service, especially in a time and area not known for that. Kudos to the folks at Harvest Records and may the music never stop!

I emailed them asking if they had a particular album in stock in 2022. At the time, they didn't. But an entire year later, they wrote me because they JUST GOT IT IN! By this time I moved away, but no worries, they shipped it to me for a fair price with quick replies, transaction and delivery. They are awesome.

Called before we came. They told us they had the record we wanted. I'm disabled (I will be back to come in and check it out inside) and my wife went in and asked where she could find the record she wanted (it's for David for Father's Day. He's the owner of "Fuego Modern American Cuisine in Waynesville. Highly recommend) and was in and out in less than 2 minutes. thank y'all so much. We will definitely be back.

Great selection of new, high end jazz records. Probably tied with Horizon Records in Greenville, SC in terms of quality...Horizon seemingly has a bit more quality used jazz records but Harvest has several Blue Note Tone Poet and Acoustic Sounds records I haven't seen anywhere (maybe Asheville is too hip for jazz these days lol!). Friendly staff, great prices, hard to beat. Best store in the area by far.

If you’re ever in Asheville, NC- make sure you head to @harvestrecordsavl ! In January, I went there with very little knowledge about what I needed and Annalise (I think that’s her name?) shared some knowledge with me about the used turntables they had available. I ended up going with the Numark TT-1700. It’s my first one and I LOVE it. Every time I go to Harvest Records, every single person working there is so lovely, helpful, and kind. I went to the store yesterday to ask them about a hundred questions because today was going to be my first Record Store Day. They were (as always) patient, helpful, and kind. I got really anxious last night and ended up getting there at 9PM because I REALLY wanted the Em Beihold record and knew they only had one copy. This morning, the Harvest Records folks brought free coffee to everyone waiting in line. I don’t drink coffee, so they were kind enough to heat me up some water in their coffee maker for hot cocoa. I haven’t slept in about 26 hours so I’m not sure exactly how long before 10AM (their opening time today) it was, but Annalise came to the door and invited me to come into the store alone. They all knew by that point that I had been there since 9PM and really wanted Egg in the Backseat, so they told me exactly where it was. Then they asked what else I was looking for and went and got those items for me and brought them to me. It was the most special shopping experience I have ever had in my life. I’ve been into a few other record stores and the employees are never nearly as kind. I know every time I walk in the door at Harvest Records that I will be treated with dignity and respect, even when I don’t have a lot of knowledge about what I’m asking about. As a neurodivergent person with PTSD and multiple other diagnoses that can make even simple tasks daunting, the Harvest folks’ kindness and patience is always very appreciated. Harvest Records is the BEST and you should absolutely give them your business! If I could give them a million stars, I would.

This is one of the better record stores i have been in in the US, not just Carolina...fair prices, nice mix of new/used, great titles and nice people...i could learn a lot from this place and apply it to my own shop in Portland...
