Plays In Mud Pottery is a wonderful place to learn and offers an amazing, absolute best experience. The classes are fun and provide a rich experience with lots of studio time to practice. The small classes are a favorite part, filled with awesome people who love pottery. The teacher is patient, caring, kind, knowledgeable, approachable, and fun. With many years of experience, she is a phenomenal teacher, a gifted potter, and a true master in her art. She is quick to notice and calibrate her style to each individual level. Her positivity makes even the biggest flops still feel meaningful, and she helps build confidence at the wheel. She can look at what is happening on a wheel, replicate it, and show how to move forward. Students find themselves mesmerized by the gallery after most classes. The sessions are often the highlight of the week. It is a highly recommended studio where students gain skills, create gifts and custom items, and have great fun.
Kelsey is amazing and is a great neighbor on Haywood Rd. She has been incredibly generous and all of my friends love to support her work! Definitely go visit the storefront!

Great class format and instruction from Kelsey. I especially enjoyed the extra studio time to practice the techniques learned in class and make additional pieces. Kelsey is a lot of fun to work with. Laughs were had and friends were made!

Kelsey is incredibly talented and her studio is full of beautiful and functional pottery. I took her beginner handbuilding class and she helped me create pieces I will enjoy using for years. I highly recommend visiting her studio!
