Amazing selection of vintage clothing. The mens section is small but has some amazing pieces. A very well curated collection. The owner is knowledgable, friendly and professional. Great shop.

Amazing vintage shop! The quality of clothing was impressive. Shoppers here are getting quality and pricing to match - high-end in all regards. Service was warm and inviting.

Most of the items are pricey, but I won’t hold it against this business because I don’t expect high quality vintage clothing to be inexpensive. That being said, there are some more affordable items in the store, so I was still able to buy an accessory I love. The overall selection is great.

Most incredible vintage shop I’ve ever been in. It’s like walking into a museum! Her collection is truly amazing. I grew up in Los Angeles in the 1960s going to The Whiskey A Go Go and seeing all the old bands, so walking in was like a blast from the past! The owner was so kind and helpful. She pulled a few perfect dresses in larger sizes for me. It felt like having a personal buyer! Hands-down, best vintage shop I’ve ever been to.

I did feel intimidated first walking into the store, but when I started asking questions staff was lovely and offered a lot of recommendations for how to find what I was looking for. Something to note about sizes is that people were generally a lot smaller in the 60s, 70s and 80s, so it’s hard to find vintage clothes for a modern day size 12 (honestly that was considered pretty large back then and there was a lot of societal pressure not to be a bigger woman), facts are facts; this store offers a wide selection of vintage clothes but they do run smaller and I don’t think it’s to exclude anyone as previous reviews suggested. The prices are high, but the vintage is real and the property is downtown so it makes sense. I would recommend this shop.

I absolutely love popping into this store anytime i'm downtown! The owner helped me find my dream jacket and was so sweet helping me pull different items to try on. Even though it was taking me a bit to make a decision, she never seemed annoyed about holding items for me or letting me try things on in the dressing room. The collection of vintage here is a blast to look through even if you're just browsing around. Whether you're a local or just in town visiting, Posies is a must see!

I had a lovely experience meeting Raina, the owner of Posies For LuLu Vintage!Upon entering, I felt like I had traveled in a time when style and sophistication mattered.Every item in the store has a story. The owner carefully selected each one-of-a-kind item in the store for those who cherish vintage items.Raina was welcoming and kind, not as the other reviewers described. Perhaps the reviewers were having a bad day?Posies For Lulu Vintage is not a goodwill or thrift store.Raina’s prices reflect the quality she is offering.

Shopping here felt like a scene out of Pretty Woman or Beverly Hills 90210 where a snobby store owner or sales person looks you up and down and decides you must not have the $$$ to purchase her overly priced items. If you ask what size something in the window is, you are snottily told how special it is and how expensive said item is. Our groups' money obviously was not wanted at the store and we all left. It is the store's loss as the sales person had no idea how much $$$ we had to spend. Please note we were dressed in average Summer street clothes and were not dressed up to browse the stores of Asheville which is apparently what is necessary. The owner or sales person fawned all over the two girls in the store wearing heavy makeup and all dressed up. If you want to be given the once over and given a judgy attitude, please go here. If not, stay far away from here.

Beautiful vintage clothing. I asked if the clothes were designed to look from the 70s, 80s and 90s, but she said everything was original to the time. She makes sure they are fixed up and clean. Sizes of course range and most dresses run small/ medium, but it's probably what she can find. There's men clothing too. The shop is very well laid out.

Lovely store, sadly noticed handmade brands this store owner was charging for double the price and claiming as vintage, location also lacking diversity, (I’m a POC) Clean store though, wouldn’t recommend as I respect handmade small businesses as I am a small business owner myself. Won’t be returning, thank you!EDIT, response :)Asheville is a very much diverse city, has grown diverse over the last few years and still growing. I know many poc including myself in the small business community, I only commented this location doesn’t have this because of similar Caucasian employees you’ve had over the years (IG) and a handful of women trying to work here over the last few years, some of color and some of a bigger shape or size be rejected while you hire a similar range. You have a lovely collection and gorgeous store butalso like to comment even though you’ve been collecting for “over 30 years” you rarely and barely carry sizes for women of all shapes and sizes. Usually XS-S and if you’re lucky a medium. You also do not use diverse or women of all shapes to model your clothing as seen on your Etsy page and IG which is a shame :/. Please do not blame it on Asheville not being diverse. It very much has enough POC.Sadly, You not being the only location like this, there’s is another location DT who is also the same and even have racist reviews on their Google. It’s truly sickening and town needs to evolve away from that mindset.Understandable any store needs to make profit, but when it’s about 400$ more then original price , makes it more then double, without adding details of the handmaker of the product, it is insulting to the small business owner who made that item. On top of the item being hidden amongst literal vintage. As MUCH as I’d love to leave a better review for you, and be supportive because I really am.I think my one star is reasonable.Have a lovely day!

Awesome stuff but MY GOD it is EXPENSIVE. And I’m not talking like, a hundred bucks expensive… like, $400-$1,000 per item expensive. Beautiful stuff but unrealistic. Also slightly ironic the owner was talking about finding a dress at habitat for humanity but it was $50.00 and she thought that was too expensive so didn’t buy it, wound up regretting it and couldn’t find the dress again but searched for years and found one similar.Bummer this place is so expensive.

Another vintage shop that came up in my search for Asheville vintage clothing shops to visit on my recent trip. It is on Walnut St. and is on the corner, across from Moonlight Makers. You can either park on the street or park in one of the structures or lots nearby. We parked in the structure across the street and walked to all of the shops in the area. The shop is well-curated with unique pieces from a variety of eras and different styles. Everything is arranged by color and item type on the racks. The tags try to include the era for the piece, any damage present, and the price. There was a long pleated tartan skirt with a contrast color tartan on the inside of the pleats that I tried on for laughs. It was beautifully made, but the length was not for me and the price was a little high for my liking. Still, it was fun trying it on and seeing the other items available in the shop. There are a few men's items up front, but it mostly sells women's vintage clothing and accessories. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. I'd consider stopping by again to see what was new.

I've walked by Posies for Lulu a countless amount of times while wandering around downtown. While killing sometime waiting for my beautiful wife this past weekend I stumbled in to this delightful boutique. There's something super charming about this space. I was surprised by how open and spacious it is. Tall ceilings and massive windows make this spot quite a breath of fresh air rather than the typical stuffy feeling you can experience at a vintage store. Mentioning vintage stores, I find that there's often a lack of choices for men, but whoever is doing the buying for this shop is definitely dedicated to making sure there's a generous selection of stuff for the gents. There was an ample amount of things for me to rifle through, and a great distraction! I found an absolutely awesome blazer, and a number of vintage belt buckles that are going to be making their way on to my last minute Christmas list. Oh yes! Accessories. Chotskies. How do you spell chotskies? I have no idea... but this shop has a large variety of them. Interesting little objects from eras passed. Prices seem fair... the items are of an excellent quality, and everything seems like it's curated. Almost a sort of gallery feel. Although it took me years to actually walk into this place, I have a feeling I'll be visiting it again more often in the future.
