My family has used this branch for over a decade. Everyone is so sweet and patient. Their loan officers are very knowledgeable and thorough when helping people find the best options. It's incredibly easy to open accounts online and manage money via the Skyla App. This bank is truly centered around their members and focused on making money handling as convenient and straightforward as possible!!

I highly recommend Allison Smith as your member service advisor. She was knowledgeable and honest with me when it came to me asking questions about my finances and receiving a credit card (for the first time). Thank you Allison for the amazing service. Plus: Everyone in the facility are helpful and kind.

Wow… absolutely terrible experience at this branch today. I presented two checks from my niece for her rent payments to be cashed, along with my valid NC Drivers License. After waiting 10 mins the teller came to the window and asked me if I had an account at the bank. I don’t. But my niece does and the checks were written on her account. After 10 more mins (literally 20 mins at this point), the teller comes back with an ink pad in his hand and tells me I need to ink up my thumb and put my thumb print on each check. I was astounded. I haven’t had my fingerprint taken since I applied for my CPA license 30 years ago. I asked them why? Did my niece not have enough money in her account? Wasn’t my Dirvers License valid proof of ID? This was their policy, they said, for anyone cashing a check that didn’t have an account at their bank. I asked to see this in writing. Another 10 mins (literally 30 mins now) passed and they came back with a tiny screen print. Obviously I did not give them my thumb print. While waiting I had called my niece to tell her that her bank refused to honor her checks. I asked for the checks and my license back. I also asked for the names of the managers and their phone numbers. After all this I gave them my business card, as I’m a local business owner. They looked quite stunned that I was who I said I was. It was then I realized they were profiling me. You see, I had been painting this morning and had my old clothes on and my hair up. Essentially, I looked “poor”, so in their eyes I must have been a criminal. I’ll be telling everyone I can about this experience. And my niece is lucky she’s my niece, or she’d be on the road to eviction given her bank refused to honor her checks. I would NEVER allow a business like this one to represent me or to manage anything related to my finances.

Predatory company, changed their system so even if you run as a debit your card won’t get declined and they raised overdraft fees at the same time

After submitting an a loan application and not receiving any sort of follow up or being able to speak with someone at Telco Credit Union I decided to submit a loan application over the weekend at Premier. I was called Monday morning by Alyssa at the Charlotte branch who made the process efficient and communicated well the whole time. When I went in to the branch in Asheville to open my account and finalize the documents, the service I received from the loan office was amazing. I’m truly satisfied with the services I’ve received from Premier/Charlotte Metro Credit Union!

I had to go into the branch to get a new card due to fraudulent charges. I was helped by Denise, and she was fantastic! Friendly, quick, and even took down my info so that she could keep track of the charge and dispute it for me, that way I didn't have to worry about it. I didn't even ask her to do it, just awesome. This was a rough day, so I was not looking forward to having to do this but Denise, if you happen to read this, you made my miserable day better! Thanks!

Friday, June 3rd I went to Premier's bank on Charlotte Street to check my balance and to make a deposit. My account is from a branch bank in Florida. I had been to this bank two times in the previous month and had told the teller my current address on my NC Driver's License was incorrect and had just failed the eye exan so could not renew it. I was just completing eye surgery at the Charles George VA on both eyes and had a final eye appt. on June 9th. A new teller asked the older lady teller if she could accept my I.D. and she said no. Funny, as this was the same lady that approved that I.D. the previous month. The bank had no customers at the time. I had just come back from Florida , and the TSA at Asheville Airport accepted that I.D. I believe in rules and regulations like everybody else, but this was outright mean. Common sense could have been used, and maybe ask me for another form of I.D. I had my Social Security Card and My VA card with me. I'm 82 and this older teller knew she was being wrong! I got mad something I seldom do and stormed out the door. Bad enough you get charged a fee for making a deposit or a balance inquiry, they didn't get any revenue for your bank either! They had absolutely no risk to the bank on this matter. Donald White, 226 Governors View Drive, Asheville, NC 28805-2354
