Rude cashier. From the beginning of checking out to the end, not even one nice word. She acted like We were not welcome in that store. Not going to shop there anymore.

My honey got her work shoes the salesman was truly a delight as we carried on a conversation with him about things familiar with us. He was so great I just love people like him who care about being a great human being to the customers coming in the store on a daily basis ??. If only the world would fashion their tongues to be delightful instead of a poisonus viper.

Found some JoJo Siwa shoes for $10 But everyone is right. They do make you feel very uncomfortable like your going to steal something...I don't steal...it's rude. They watch you down your neck...you can just feel it...I get u don't want anyone stealing from your store , but don't think everyone steals...that's ridiculous. Y'all should hire a security guard all the security y'all do. U don't see journeys across the street blowing down your neck when u need to just look. Geez. When you have so many bad reviews with a manager named Chris.....how could he still have his job?? Lol wow.

Nice staff, they had what I needed, some shoelaces. But, I looked at shoe prices while I was there. Yikes, scary high prices.

Upon entering this store we noticed no other customers were wearing masks so we tried to enter but we were told we could not enter without masks. I pointed out to the associate that no one else was wearing a mask and was told again that we had to.

If you are young and have a bag (including a purse) be prepared to leave it up front. But if you are older (over 40) you're deemed safe to keep your things with you.

Shoe Dept Encore has friendly service and a good selection of shoes. The prices are competitive overall but Shoe Dept Encore' clearance section is a great stand-out with a large selection. The only reason I give 4/5 is for transaction issues when using a gift card, but the staff was patient and got my gift card through.

Don't go to Shoe Department in the Asheville mall if you are disabled and have to wear a bag/back pack to carry your stuff that you purchase. I have to use my right hand for the cane and the left one to catch/hold onto stuff when I stumble. Which at this point it is many times per day. As my daughter and I entered the store and walk down the aisle to get some new shoes for Emily. We were approached and told we need to leave because I have a bag on my back. Not once was I ask to store it at the service desk nor ask to take it off. There is also no sign saying no bags or backpacks. They lost the sale of 2 pairs of shoes today. In reality it is many more pairs of shoes. I said I'm disabled and need to put the shoes I buy in there. He said I don't care you need to leave. It's the same for everyone. Yet there was woman witha. Strolled and a huge diaper bag there to. Why wasn't she told to leave? This was done by who I was told is the store manage.
