Stopped by this past Record Day and scored an album I didn’t even know I was looking for but soooo happy I found it. The bonus concert ticket score checking out at the register made my whole day!! My our 4/20 day extra memorable!!! Highly recommend!! Thank you!!!

Electronic record selection: 4/5 (very good, two bins, found Ambient 1 and a Hybrid single here).(I like to review record stores, but all record stores deserve 5 stars unless something awful happens, as records are cool, music is great, and my tastes don't make me a good objective reviewer of selection anyway.)An open garage door greets you at this dark and legit record shop. Tunes being played were excellent, and I found some fun British stuff to add to my collection. Staff was friendly too!

I recently went to see Aurora play at Static Age Records and really enjoyed myself. The eclectic record shop doubles as an occasional after-hours show venue, with a nice dive-bar vibe (complete with a pair down selection of canned bottled beverages). They could use more seating options, which is the only reason they lose a star. Still an enjoyable way to spend the night and explore experimental music.

Grubby skid row record store/dive bar. All the standard rock genres were present and not much more. I didn't find anything rare or out of the ordinary and there were three in my party looking. But definitely good for anything popular or standard. The place was thrown together and looked like an old mosh pit venue from the nighties plagued by the latest addictions. My daughter was stressed to be there, but the real tweakers were definitely outside. The staff was nice and knowledgeable. It was so authentically gritty that it could stand to have a leaf blower purge all the dirt and grime out into the street. Dark and gritty doesn't have to be dirty and neglected to be authentic.

Not a pleasant shopping experience. almost walked by this establishment since the opening was all black and dreary, walked inside and found it very sparsely illuminated, Lots of records but the store is very Sad, Dirty floor, dust everywhere and after looking at many records you fingers are covered in dirt! Finger tips were black! All the records had been coated in dust. They do have many records , just take your hand wipes!

Came into town to see Nick Cave peform, stopped by Static Age Records to get some Nick Cave vinyl, found a really obscure album and everyone was so helpful, welcoming, especially informed about music encyclopedia style and just can't thank them enough! Very cool and locally legendary spot!

This place is more of a hangout spot for people who have given up on society or at least pretending to and get money from their parents and act like they're poor because acting like your poor is cool apparently in Asheville
