Stereoman is amazing! He has a customer for life. Fixed a vintage Pioneer turntable that had a speed issue at an extremely reasonable price. The turnaround time was great and communication was fantastic. Will come back for sure the next time one of my vintage pieces needs some love.

Rudest person I’ve ever spoke with. Don’t mind me trying to finish my sentence, just hangs up. Sounds like a robot talking and has no personality at all. Get your radios fixed somewhere else

StereoMan brought my 1985 Carver 2000 receiver back to life. This unit has some exotic circuitry but he sorted it out. I'm back to hearing punchy and clean music. Great job and price is nice.

Called for a simple consultation was told he couldn't do it wouldn't even give me a referral to another business that might or anything like that. Not very personable at all.

The name is Stereo Man but he doesn't do car audio. Very knowledgable, and friendly.

No longer installing car audio. That's the reason for the rating.

Do not use this shop. This guy (Stereoman) in Asheville is way over his head. I brought in a high end audio cassette deck (Nak 505) with feedback on playback. After he tested it he said he could not recreate the feedback. If that is not enough, he would not come out to the car to give me the unit when I showed up to pickup. He is appt only and said he was going to be too busy to simply walk out to the car to give it to me, maybe 30 seconds, no payment because nothing fixed. So, he said he would place the deck on the ground behind his car (in my box). Mind you, this is a $1K-2K piece of equipment that he put outside the building for me to pickup. I could not believe his attitude and we argued on phone during my drive (stuck in traffic) but I wanted it out of his hands. Results of testing. It did play at normal output with the feedback, now zilch. No playback AT ALL. I have no idea what he did to it. He also disconnected and forgot to replace a switch on the unit PC Board. Oddly, he said he played the unit for several days to listen for the "bumps" on playback. He said he did not hear anything so to come pick it up and when I got it home, no output at all. Duh, he missed that when a tape is played the VU meters move with the tape signal? I would not trust him with anything worth more than 100 bucks. Amazing!!

Despite not being available in person for car stereo work due to COVID, I still received help on a few questions I had on self installation of an amp and sub! Great service
