After ordering multiple items from the West Asheville Home Depot store and having them delivered successfully by large flat bed and box trucks over the years, I was informed that my address is not deliverable. I was also told that the driver had attempted to the deliver, which never happened - I have security cameras and would have noticed and recorded a large truck trying to pull in my driveway. Never mind that a semi-truck delivered furniture to me just a year ago without any issues. This Home Depot apparently contracts with a company out of Salisbury, where the drivers have NO idea how to navigate curves or steep roads. Basically, if you live in the mountains, they're not going to be able to deliver any large item to you that requires a box truck or flat bed truck. Don't waste your $79 on the "Express Delivery" option from this store. Moreover, the store had one girl call me who had no idea what she was doing before an assistant manager decided to be rude about it and offer no solutions to me (I had to be the one to ask for a cancellation, it was never offered or mentioned by him). When I called back to make sure I wouldn't be charged $79 since the driver never arrived at my address, I was instantly hung up on. In spite of ordering many items from them over the years, I won't be wasting my time with this store ever again. I'll stick to Lowes or my neighborhood mom and pop's general store.

I went in to find an LED light bulb and we (me and the store manager) couldn't find it anywhere, so I just decided to get a different kind which was sitting above a price tag of $13. I went to self checkout, and it rang up for $54, so I was confused on why. Me and the lady working self checkout went back to the light section to see what happened, and apparently it was placed above the wrong tag which wasn't even their fault, and they gave it to me for $13! Being nice to the employees can make all the difference at places even though they probably would've done that anyways :) Thanks guys!!!

When I bought my house I bought all new appliances from Home Depot. Because of Covid lots of delays happened which I totally understand. After not getting my scheduled delivery of a washer and dryer, stove, fridge and dishwasher totaling over $4000 I went to the store. After several hours the managers decided to give me all the floor models at the store since they didn't know where my shipment was. Okay fine. That day they delivered only the washer and dryer. They hooked it up and before they even left I started a load of laundry because I hadn't had a washer or dryer in over 6 weeks. Water leaking and sprayed everywhere. I stopped the washer ASAP and ran out and told them. They came back in and reconnected and then I had no more issues except a super wet floor that I was very mad about. Now the rest of my appliances haven't come yet. I asked when are they coming? Tomorrow they said. Tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went and so did a week! I continue to call and then yes over a week later I get my stove, dishwasher and fridge. They installed the stove first and when they plugged it in my breaker went out. Mind you my previous stove worked just fine I just wanted a new one. So now I have to call my electrician because this stove has blown the electrical box and even burned a hole and wires in my basement. Omg! Are you kidding me! $289 later from my electrician my box and wires are fixed. Home Depot takes back the stove to bring another. They install the new fridge and it works great but is missing a part. They drop off the dishwasher and won't install. So my plumber comes and installs the dishwasher for $75 and guess what the dishwasher doesn't work! I call and call and call Home Depot again and get the worst management experience ever. I finally get a new stove again and this one doesn't break my electric box or outlet. I still have a dishwasher that doesn't work that they delivered. I call and call and call and nothing. Again I paid over $4000 for all these things. No discount no payment for my electrician because of damage they caused! No new dishwasher that works and no credit or refund! I finally go to Lowe's and buy a dishwasher that works even though I already paid for one at Home Depot! Lowe's comes right away the next day and then my plumber hooks up the new one. Wow it works! This store it's management and staff must be some of the rudest inconsiderate people I have ever met! They could have burnt my house down and did nothing. During this entire process they did nothing but caused more problems. I will never ever shop at any Home Depot ever again. This has got to be one of the most terrible experiences I have ever had. Please keep in mind I was remodeling my house and had also spent well over $3000 on other items for my home. These were Home Depot employees that installed the items and not a third party. I hold Home Depot completely responsible for all my damages and just thank god my house didn't burn down because of them.

I purchased 454 retaining wall blocks on March 17. On April 12, they delivered 96 blocks, marked the delivery as complete, and closed the work order. Took me two days and multiple phone calls to even get them to admit that they sold the blocks I had already paid for to someone else. It’s now April 15, and they still have done nothing about getting the rest of my order to me.

Local Moving Company is Grateful for Home Depot. We were in the area helping a customer with her move and the job required tools. Grateful for this husky tool box set just what we needed for this and future jobs.

I purchased a $1900.00 refrigerator (paid in full) on 12/15/20 that was supposed to be delivered on 12/21/20. The delivery service (not part of Home Depot) called on 12/18/20 to tell me the refrigerator was not going to be delivered on 12/21 but had no information as to if or when it would actually be delivered. They told me to call the store and more than one store associate told me that it would indeed be delivered on 12/21 and I should just wait. I waited all day (8:00

I own stock in this company. As Warren Buffet maintains, you shop where you own stock. A no-brainer, but heck, I can't get it done. Ever. Always some reason. This time Chrissy in Appliances kept backing away from me while I told her what I wanted. I thought she was going to show me things. "I'm backing away because you don't have a mask on," she said. I'd forgotten. Couldn't she just nicely ask? Another (larger) sale lost. I've spent over $5k at Lowe's this year. Just can't get it done at HD, but I can't argue with the dividends.

I tried to purchase a Frigidaire 26cuft Stainless Refrigerator on the first day of their ad at the W. Asheville location to find out that none of their stores or any neighboring states had product available to purchase for the sale. Talked to Store Mgr and he said they said they were sold out and had no resolution, called Customer Care with same result. It was obvious they never had the product to sell and start the sale just being told they sold out on first day with no resolution. After several phone calls and disappointing results, I Had to escalate The issue just to have them finally substitute A comparable product but soonest availability was 25 days out. I ended up purchasing a refrigerator from Lowe's because they had plenty of refrigerators in stock after Home Depot had nothing in stock in a timely manner, even though I asked their corporate customer care if they could help expedite the delivery and they couldn't help me.

Customer service in your appliance department is terrible. Spent thousands of dollars the past few months renovating and so sorry I spent all that money with you. Should have gone to Lowes. Never shopping there again.

It appears that Home Depot delivery contractors can't get their act together! My wife ordered a Husky Tool Cabinet for my birthday only to have Non-Stop Delivery Company to "lose" it after receiving it at their facility in Blountville TN. (Employee must had REALLY liked it and took it home.. It has never been found since!!).. So she ordered a second one, received confirmation of delivery date, etc., now May 29, Southern Freight doesn't want to deliver it because they can't get their tractor trailer into the subdivision!.. Why sell a product, customer pays for shipping, only to have a delivery service asking the customer to meet them somewhere convenient ???

Not a bad place if you know where to look for what you are looking for. Don't expect any expert product knowledge. Nobody seems to know where anything is. Once you find it you have to push all the roll around steps out of your way to get to anything. All the aisles are cluttered and the employees have great hiding places. The prices are reasonable, that's about it.

I visit this store several times each month for different reasons. It is well stocked, and if you are completely self-directed, you will find what you need. However, if you need employee assistance with anything - a length of chain cut, assistance finding a very specific item, paint mixing - anything you could not do yourself, you will be hard pressed to find someone knowledgeable or available to assist you. In addition, they have gone to nearly exclusive self checkout. This is fine, again, if your purchase is straightforward. But when purchasing open stock small items (bolts, or items measured out by the foot, for example) knowing how to ring those things up can be confusing and frustrating. I miss the customer service element Home Depot was famous for, just a few years ago. It used to be very simple to find someone to help you with cutting lengths of PVC, or to advise you on grout purchases for tile projects. You need to be very self-sufficient (cut your own boards, PVC, or lengths of chain), or know exactly what you need, and where to find it, to have a successful shopping experience at this store.

The garden section is amazing in the spring and the summer time . Home Depot always is my place to go when I shop for flowers they always have such good deals and their staff are always really nice. Before I carry on with my review I've been coming here for years and not once had a bad experience like for 10 years. For indoor everyone is super nice and eager to help you find anything and if you don't understand how to use they will let you know how to do so . Always a great place to go. I always come back!
