I've been banking for over 30 years but have never met a bank that was as nasty as this one. From the appointment that was made with a person who wasn't even in, to the teller who was nasty when we walked in to the other teller who had no business trying to open up two business accounts of ours who was rude to my son on the phone. Oh I could lay out the specifics but I'll wait for a rebuttal to this review. Just look for who is at the counter now a lady and a guy. Then find the guy who answers the phone and perceives to make appointments with people who are not even in. It cost me 3 hrs to wait in my office to come to the appointment to be met by these people who made me extremely uncomfortable. Then to the hang up and nasty comment from the teller who told my son it cost money to access the state secretary website. Umm not true. But whatever. Already moved our business over to another bank. Just read a lot of reviews from n you guys and it says your rude. Well, yes your bank truly is.

Look, they're fine. It's fine. It's a credit union. The lobby is clean, they handle your money. It's fine. But look at this image they've created. Look at this advertisement. It looks like there is a man stealing a woman, and there's another dude ready to fight him for her. "We Got U" makes me feel like they are threatening to "get me". It's wonderful. Five stars

It's like they don't want my money I'm trying to give them.I wait on hold on a national phone line number for 30 minutes only not get anything helpful and told I should go into the brick and mortar location in town. So I so that's what I did in hopes to get some help and questions answered. I arrive at the building to be told oh no one is here that can help you....like what is the point of having a physical location if you can't service potential customers who are walking in to maybe give you tens of thousands of dollars. Makes zero sense.

I was refered to them by my agent when buying land and building a house, they have been fantastic from the go!!!! call backs and answering phones this has been a painless procsess with them.Thank you to the staff for all your Help!!!

I’ve been doing business with UFCU since the ‘90’s. I actually worked for a local bank for nearly a decade, but wouldn’t move my money there because UFCU has always given me phenomenal service. I wouldn’t bank anywhere else!

INCOMPETENT TIMEWASTERSAfter 2 months of the loan officer confirming everything was OK, after the home appraisal was OK, after emails confirming the HELOC was approved and docs would be sent....the VP of Lending changed hi mind because I was temporarily overseas and they " don't trust a French notary". DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM

ATM does not allow you to deposit cash. Furthermore this ATM may or may not EAT YOUR CASH. Last time I tried to deposit money into this ATM I lost $50. NFCU explained to me that UFCU could look into it. When I spoke with United Federal credit Union they told me that there is nothing that they can do about it. But don’t take my word for it try yourself and see what happens. You have been warned.

Upon moving to Asheville a few years back we wanted a "relationship" with our financial institution. Oddly enough being from Michigan, I feel that connection to my home state. Everyone at UFCU Asheville is professional and excels at what they do. Highly recommend!

Worked with Karen on a re-fi early COVID, we ran into some hiccups and long wait times. But I just blamed it on the 'Rona and thought it was just learning a new online system/process. In February, we began talking to Karen about our new construction loan we needed for May. For months with Karen (should have known from the name), we supplied documents and moved through the process. I should have recocognized red flags when she started requesting documents we had previously sent her and she also struggled with basic math (percentages) when I wanted information about buying down rates. Needless to say, the promised May closing was pushed and estimated mid June, all while adding on thousands of dollars in fees (over 2500) for a "rate lock" that were never previously mentioned and only needed because THEY dragged out the process!Very shady! Not transparent business practices. Switched to state employees last minute, saving us over 10k AND closing in less than a month!!!!

I worked with Jeff at UFCU, for our first mortgage and received exceptional and patient service. Since then, we have moved all of our personal and business accounts to United.Their in-person and over the phone customer service always has kind and efficient representatives. Gone are the days, of being left on hold, indefinitely, with big banks!
