Great show, but what a cluster. Same purse I entered with last time under same rules wasn’t allowed this time. 1 lady filtered us out as she screamed at everyone. I Ordered a double, which was offered at ordering, for $18!, and there was 0 alcohol in it. Wouldn’t let us use all the bathrooms OR go out exit doors. Very strange rules now. All staff were cool, though.

Went for the Popular MonsTour(Falling In Reverse, Ice Nine Kills, Underoath and Crown the Empire) July 6, 2023. Will definitely travel back from south Florida to see other shows here. Though making fans walk across the bridge and back that crosses of interstate 240, was a fear I never thought I would face before a concert. But all in all, very clean venue, security kept people off the rails, so I never had to stand up out of my seat to see the bands. Two thumbs way up.

What a wonderful venue for GA. Apparently the whole show was GA which means if you got there early enough you could sit but we decided to get a closer view. They didn’t oversell tickets(even tho it was a sold out show) so GA on the floor was great. Plenty of space to move within the crowd and get closer without pushing anyone. Beer was cheaper than most places ($25 for 2 tall beers with 15%tip). Staff was super friendly unlike most venues in Charlotte. Would definitely see another show here

I hope this venue is not the best that Asheville can provide because it sucks completely. ... I had read reviews that indicated this venue was past its prime and that is so true. The seating was in disrepair-- you can see evidence of that by the piles of seats in the back of the auditorium out in the open. The bathrooms are small and crowded and hot... and the sound was miserable. I've been to concerts from Florida to New York in high end theaters and the lowest dive bars and this venue has the worst sound of any place I have ever been in. Ever. It's epically stupid that Harrah's Cherokee Casino has bought the naming rights for this dump. The casino is not located anywhere close by and when you walk into that casino it's about 1 million times nicer than this place. I think all the people who are writing good reviews about this place need to take a trip to Atlanta and visit our Fox theater and see what a good venue was really all about.Asheville should be ashamed with this. Tear it down and start over.

A pleasant venue for a concert with fairly good acoustics. The building, however, is looking a little "tired" not surprising given its age.

6 months ago I bought tickets for one of my favorite bands. They were playing in Asheville at the venue that has 3 different names. Drove 308 miles. Oh my goodness what a bad decision on my part. This place (whatever the name is) is absolutely NOT equipped to have concerts. The sound was horrible. They had about 6 people working and dust or something was falling from the ceiling. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

We went to an event recently at the Cherokee Center in Asheville and I will probably never attend a future event at your venue. My wife had a purse with her (small, but not 6"x6"). Ahead of us was someone with a baby bag, about the twice the size of my wife's small purse. The large baby bag was allowed in, but of course we were not allowed in with the small purse. Security gave us the option to either forfeit it to them to throw the purse out (Really?!) or to walk back to our car (which was parked about half a mile away) so we could store the purse in the car. This, despite there being metal detectors and more than enough personnel to do a full bag-search to make sure we were not bringing in a firearm or anything dangerous. What a stupid policy for a venue that doesn't have dedicated parking. What a rediculous policy for the kind of events you hold (this one happened to be the Harlem Globetrotters). This nonsense is made even more asinine by virtue of the fact that you allow bags of 6"x6" (I think my wife's was probably 7" x 8"), large baby bags, and clear large plastic bags of 18". YOU ARE NOT AN AIRPORT. You are a community event center, and your policies on ladies' purses (which women carry around downtown to every other venue before they attend an event at yours) are arbitrary, irrational, and do not serve any conceivable purpose to further your guest's or venue's security. They do, however, serve to annoy thousands of ticketholders every night you host an event. As a new resident of Asheville, who attends a large number of events with family and guests of our own, we have taken note and written off the venue. We missed almost half of the event we paid for, due to having to walk back to our car, plus given the terrible amount of crime in downtown Asheville, we were worried about items that we were forced to leave in our car. Again, YOU ARE NOT AN AIRPORT, stop treating your guests worse than the TSA does to air travelers.

Went to see a concert last night. Under prepared staff kept ticket holders standing in line outside in the rain for well over an hour as they s-l-o-w-l-y checked tickets and wanded folks. Ridiculously SLOW! The delays were compounded by the fact that once you stepped through the front doors there was no cell signal which means anybody using electronic tickets all of a sudden had no access to those tickets.Lines for food and drink were crazy long and slow. 30+ minutes at best.AND the WORST SOUND I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED at a concert. TRULY AWFUL. A waste of good money to be there. The staff I encountered were all very nice, but that's the only positive thing about the whole night.I will never return to this venue.

Gross place. Bums everywhere. Had to walk past feces, urine, and scary people to get to the venue from their parking garage. Inside smelled of mold. Freezing also

Had a nice date night here at Kevin James comedy show. almost every seat is a good one. Facility is nice if a bit dated. Clean and plentiful bathrooms are a plus. all the staff we interacted with were very nice and helpful. photo taken from 4th row left mezzanine.

Absolutely incredible, spacious venue for shows. Lots of drink (soda, water, beer, liquor) and food options (hot dogs, popcorn etc.). Plenty of seating options and great views to the stage. Air conditioned so bring a coat. Great acoustics and bathrooms are nearby to the entrance. Awesome venue. We got to see Lake Street Dive and was incredible.

With all these positive reviews on here, you'd almost not believe this establishment could be the melting dumpster fire that it is. Walking in is like walking into the upside down from Strangers Things; only the upside down is put more together. This place looks like melted butter. Literally. It looks like the walls are melting and is that lead paint? Mmmm, nothing like having a bit of poison falling from overhead into your beverage to spice it up a bit before your emergency room visit. While you're at the emergency room, get tested for asbestos because I'm fairly sure that the ceiling has it crawling through like a horror scene. Parking was another disaster. We paid for parking before hand but when we arrived, the guy at the parking garage had no idea what we were talking about so we had to pay twice. The best thing the city of Asheville could do is similar to what they did at Chernobyl. Burry it in concrete and never go back.AND STOP SELLING ALCOHOL DURING THE SHOW. The dude in front of us drank his weight in IPA and was nothing short of sloshed by the end but hey, you have to make money right? Go Harrah's!

Gymnastic competition was held at Harrah's Cherokee Center. I love going to the Gala. It's our favorite competition.

This is a decent location for a concert. It's kinda old and needs some work to update things that have cracked or falling apart, but our concert was very good and enjoyable
