The staff were friendly and attentive. Room was clean. This is a great place to stay and have an ocean view. No wifi in the rooms during the stay because it was down but it was ok. Will come again next year.

We loved our time at this hotel! The weather wasn’t great for ocean or pool swimming but the hot tub was a perfect alternative. The lobby and rooms were beautiful and the balcony overlooking the sea was a dream. I would definitely recommend a stay here.Rooms: Our room was very clean and comfortable.Nearby activities: We enjoyed walking the beach to collect seashells. Walking the pier. Nature walk to the marshes. We did an abbreviated tour of Ft. Macon. Found good food and warmed up in the hotel hot tub.Walkability: I would not say that the hotel has great walkability. The island, like most beach front communities is a bit crowded with busy streets and view blocking buildings. I would not have attempted to walk my children down the busy roadway to get to shops and restaurants.

Great, clean hotel directly on the beach. Every room has a balcony and a beautiful view of the ocean. We had a great time playing on the beach and in the hot tub. There was some booking confusion with their old website. Thankfully we got a room no problem and it ended up being less expensive. Will definitely stay here again.

The staff were AMAZING! If i was just rating them then the hotel would be 5 star!! However, the hotel itself was not good! The website said there was a restaurant and lounge. These things weren't open as they have been in previous years. If you have a hotel with a restaurant in it then the restaurant should be opened when the hotel is. I also got and email stating there would breakfast, that was not the case.Once inside our hotel room, we were missing essentials (had to go downstairs for towels and TP as there was none in our room. The wifi was not working at all in any room, in order to use the wifi you had to go to the lobby. Our key cards messed up 6 times and had to get redone. Also the sliding glass door for the balcony in our room was broken, so we were stranded outside in the cold a few times. We loved this hotel back when it was the clam digger and everything that it boasted about was open (even during off season) but this new “rebranding” and restaurant/lounge new ownership, really need to fix thing majorly!Walkability: Walk to the beach or the sound

Worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. First room was not cleaned and no sheets on bed, and front desk couldn’t seem to be able to tell which rooms were available. After about 30 min, they found one. There were about 6 cars in the parking lot, and off-season, so definitely NOT busy. WiFi didn’t work at all in our room. They told us our floor was too high up, and it worked fine in the lobby. Also said they were supposed to receive a router that morning, but didn’t. 2 days later, same thing. Bed was awful. Rock hard, and uneven to the point that if you got anywhere close to the edge, it felt like you would fall out. Hot water was very hit or miss. First morning, it took running the water for 10-15 before it got warm. No restaurant or bar was open despite the hotel listing mentioning them both as an amenity. The view was the only thing good about this stay. Will never stay here again.

Was looking forward to spending time this weekend at the coast but have a close related family member in the hospital unexpectedly. Called to cancel on Wed around noon to cancel arrival on Friday but since not in the 72 hours, no refund on first days stay. I understand in usual circumstances but you do not plan emergent hospital stays. Disappointed and just will not use this venue going forward.

We stayed there about 2 weeks ago. I have been leaving messages and sent emails regarding our stay asking a manager to be in touch with us regarding an issue with our stay. This is a "very-round-about" way to make contact with management. As a last resort, this appears to be only way to get a response.UPDATE: A manager did call my husband, today after I posted the review. There is a person that answers on the reservation line. But, when I told them the issue...they responded they did not have the authority to address it and I would need to speak with manager. So... I left messages. When we checked out we were told the hotel was aware that there was no hot water when we checked -in. I do wish we would have been informed... we would have made other arrangements . Our stay at The Inn at Pine Knoll Shores was not pleasant. Your huge renovation is insignificant if guests do not have hot water.

I'm glad someone stays open during the holidays so we can celebrate our anniversary. We had a slight mishap the first night when I could not get any hot water in the shower. Apparently, you have to turn the hot water on in the sink and shower and leave it on for 20 minutes before it will get hot. Before I learned this, I endured the coldest shower I've had in more than 50 years, going back to my first winter field shower in the Army.

Beautiful decorative rooms with tile floors and views of the ocean and the sky that you’ll never forget!! My balcony was my favorite place to be.Onsite amenities include hotel restaurant and bar, jacuzzi, outdoor lounge for relaxing and/or sunbathing, AND beach access!!!!Plus there’s stores and restaurants within a 5 minute drive.I loved my stay and really needed the time alone for healing purposes- this hotel gave me the experience I needed.
