Getting to see the Aurora fossil museum while at North Carolina Fossil festival was a treat. The Museum is smaller but tells the story of the area and the mine and has a lot of great megalodon and prehistoric shark fossils. It's definitely worth a visit especially if your at the festival!

Awesome place to find some shark teeth! Our boys loved digging and actually finding teeth. We left with probably 50+ teeth from 1/4 inch to 1 1/2 inches big. I think the sifters are a bit pricy for what they are, but at least it supports the museum.

We love the Aurora Fossil Museum! The fossil pits are so much fun and the staff is very friendly! We have been several times and have enjoyed every trip.
