These employees will smile at you at community events then rob you blind under the guise of simply doing their jobs. With friends like these, who needs enemies? Shameful that in a community such as Hatteras Island, the people at this bank are willing to take people's hard-earned money. Practicing shady banking tactics then placing the blame on their victims. They take advantage of people's good nature then play dumb when they're called out for it. Yall should be real proud of yourselves.

Not sure what the other reviews are talking about. They must of just had that one bad experience.I've dealt with this bank for over 10 years. The staff is great, friendly, and helpful. As far as fees, that's FNB policy not the staff, and is usually spelled out before you sign up for anything. And YOU agree to it! We all screw up, it shouldn't be the banks responsibility to cover it up for you.

Worst bank I operated in the last 30 years. Charging exorbitant fees, over customer satisfaction. A credit card of mine made the mistake of withdrawing 5 small amounts from my checking. Got a letter from them asking FNB to credit the $250 in fees. Their answer hell no, preferring to lose a customer. If you need a Piggy Bank that disregards “Customer Satisfaction” it may work for you. Not for me. Better option in the island.

A convenient location with friendly staff. Unfortunately they only have an ATM in drive-thru format, so if you are on foot it feels a little uncomfortable to be standing there when a car pulls up.

Great grocery options for the island. There aren't many grocery stores in the area and I believe this is the largest. They still have plenty of choices. Our family shops here frequently during our stay.

Fully stocked bright and clean. Check out folks were friendly plenty and welcoming. And no plastic bags which I'm guessing is a local ordinance but one I really appreciate from a coastal community. Beer selection was full of local brews in cans. Very satisfying experience.

We live here on HI. Grateful for a local store. This one isn't great, we shop online whenever we can, and buy groceries up the beach. Had to report an issue with our tuna steaks the other night, just got a moldy bag of clementines, typical off season neglect. Hopefully we will get some kind of resolution, usually food lion customer service just ignores us.

I love vacationing in this part of the Outer Banks, but let's be real, it's super desolate. I opt to stay in Avon over the towns south of it because there are some restaurants and this major grocery store here. If you go down to Buxton or Hatteras, there are just small and overpriced markets. So, this is a good place to stop for a somewhat affordable major grocery trip if you are heading to points south. Since moving to NC, I've grown to appreciate Food Lion. The stores aren't anything too impressive, but the prices are usually decent enough. I'd say this is a medium sized Food Lion and decently stocked. Store is in decent shape and I had no problems finding what I needed. I imagine this place is nuts on Saturdays during peak season though. I perused the beer and wine section, decent enough prices and selection. If you forget things like toiletries, this is a place you can pick them up, but the adjacent Dollar Tree is going to be cheaper. Employees at the checkout were friendly, efficient and polite. This is the only supermarket game in town, but at least it's a decent one.

Not bad, prices are average, maybe a bit more than a regular market. You are paying for convenience! Oh.. you should see those Russian cashiers!!

Good selection, stocks most of your needs for a week's vacation. Went to the meat cooler for a pork loin. They only had two left. Both were the factory sealed vacuum packed variety. Both were also sticky as hell. The one I picked up still seemed to be sealed. Also bought a 2 1/2 pound package of ground beef. The staff that does speak English is eager and willing to help. The staff that does not speak English is less than useless. I had to explain four times to the girl bagging the groceries that I did not want that nasty, sticky, slimy pork loin in the same bag as my ready-to-eat foods, it needs to be bagged separately from everything else. After I finally got that through her head, she tried to put the beef in the same bag as the eggs. Had to explain food safety to someone who works at a grocery store another four times. Take the time to train your staff. It's a lot cheaper than giving a town full of people trichinosis.

Nice little grocery store just expensive and it's a little hectic in there. But it's really the only place to get your grocery's so I feel like they take advantage of everyone and raise the prices

The customer service at our local grocery store is the worst ever. My cashier today was Larry K, and he could not even be bothered to speak during the entire transaction. This is a common occurrence at this store. They are spending money remodelling the store, but what they need to spend money on is better staff. I hate this store and it puts me in a bad mood every time I have to go in. We have no other large groceries for 60 miles.
