“Lonnie's is great. This time it was to fix a floppy manual shifter in an old subaru. I have been going to them for many years since they merged with Jim Hawkins Autocare, where i had going for decades, and where Lonnie used to work my old beetle. My only complaint is the accumulation of cars around the garage sometimes makes it a challenge to find a place to park the car I am bringing in for service. Also access is much easier now since they have unofficially, via a new hotel parking lot, extended Wortham Street straight all the way to Cole Mill Road.. It does not show up on Google maps or satellite image yet.”

I got four new tires, front alignment and brakes replaced. All of this cost me less than only four tires at Costco and Costco does not do alignments.”

“We bought my wife’s 18 Q7 from Jason on 9/20/25. This was an out of state transaction, New York to NC. My wife wanted a certain spec Q7 and a southern car. Durham’s Auto Mart had one of only 3 within a 500 mile radius. Jason was exceptional at handling all the logistics on the vehicle sale end. We chatted over the phone, nailed out some details and I made a deposit on the spot, arranged a pick up date, I flew out, took an uber, and met Jason. Incredibly nice guy, an Augusta fan, and a new father at the time. Signed paperwork, took the keys and bid me farewell. I’d recommend him to anyone. “This shop is on point! They found a lot of underlying safety issues of my truck that I was not aware of. Which could had potentially led to an accident. They were honest, prompt, and reasonably priced for the amount of work they had to do. If they find something that’s a major wrong with your vehicle they will let you know! They send an assessment with everything they find, including pictures, then hop on a call to discuss what needs to happen, then send over an itemized digital list that allows you to accept or refuse the work that needs to be done. “I'd been working with another shop about an ongoing issue with my F250 truck. The shop was doing a good job but still having issues getting down to the crux of the issue. They suggested Mangum Truck and Auto because of their expertise in work trucks and trailers. I brought my horse trailer and truck to them and they were very thorough and solved my issue. They even had me come drive with them to verify what issue I was having and what I was feeling the truck and trailer do. “I had a brake pad making a horrible squealing nose after running off the road yesterday. Took it over here as they were closest and the mechanic came out and looked at it. There was a bit of gravel stuck in the shoe causing the ruckus and it was dislodged on a test drive. He found a couple of more pieces that were threatening to fall in and made sure everything was mechanically sound. In and out in 10 minutes and no charge! That's more than enough these daysb to win a customer. I'll definitely be back here when I need service in the future. Thanks so much!”

“Super quick service for state emissions inspection. Arrived at 830, done by 9. They don’t do appointments but rather first come, first serve. They gave me a quote for an issue they found but they didn’t push it on me. I’ll be coming here again for sure!”
