Beautiful place. Lots of things to do. I was there working so I'm going to have to go back and stay. The ferry ride was not too long. It's $23 for adults $12 for children round trip. There are no cars on the island so you can take a bike or rent a golf cart while you're there but before warned that the golf carts are $99 a day. If you take your bikes you can actually use a trim to get to your property you're renting so you don't have to carry your luggage and everything.

First time on the island and our lodging included membership. We first went to Horizons for lunch. It was 100pm and no one was eating so we were seated quickly, very nice young man was the hostess. Waitress came over soon and she was very friendly as well. We were seated close to the Coffee Stand. The blond haired girl that was working there started arguing with coworker , I looked up to see what the commotion was about and she is staring at me with attitude and continued on. I found her to be extremely rude and unprofessional. I ordered pizza and it was delicious. My husband had meatloaf sandwich and he was very disappointed. It is not meatloaf at all. It is a hamburger with bacon. He also had a double bourbon and it was $30. We left Horizons and moved to the pool. After spending the morning in the ocean, the pool was very refreshing. We enjoyed it very much.

There’s definitely good and bad about purchasing a guest membership, but overall it was worth it to us mainly to have other restaurant options. The app worked well to reserve the pool, and if you plan a few days in advance, you should get the time slot you want. We didn’t use the pool as much as we thought because it was lovely beach weather. We also used the app to reserve the pickle ball courts; these should be reserved with more advance notice if you don’t want the hottest part of the day! Courts were very nice.Plan ahead for dinner if you want to eat at the Grille. I wasn’t able to get us a reservation there. However we did come early to the Terrace on a Tuesday. The ambiance was great. We loved: lobster roll, fries, fried trout, pear burrata salad, shrimp app, calamari and crème brûlée. Blah: chicken sandwich and ribs. Our waiter was good.Another evening we enjoyed the Palms. Enjoyed: fish and chips, vegetable pot pie, *beer cheese fondue*Blah: French dip sandwich, butter chickenOur waitress was very sweet.Restaurants were very high priced but it was nice to have the options. Also the ambiance was quite nice in both.Be sure to read the guest member guide; you are NOT allowed on the property at all on Saturday (maybe Sunday). We also enjoyed using the small but adequate workout room several days!

This place is horrible my family spent a load of money on guest passes for the week to find out everything requires reservations even the pool! You only have a limited amount of pool time too which is ridiculous And when I try to make reservations nobody picks up the phone! This is a pathetic excuse for a club.

Purchased a guest pass for our vacation and was very disappointed. You have to bet on reservations being available for everything. Nothing is drop-in (not even the pool!!) except for the Terrace restaurant which is only open select days, and during our membership term it was closed for private parties, or so we were told. Further, the lunch staff at Horizons provided very poor service, we felt invisible at times, but the dinner staff were far better. We plan to return to BHI, but will not get another guest membership. Even if you can get reservations, who wants to have time tables to meet during vacation? If you are late for anything, or do not cancel within a certain window of time, you are charged huge fees. Reservation booking was also frustrating. They claim you can book on the app, but it never worked. You have to email and cross fingers you get a positive reservation email reply in time. Do not recommend.

Pretty expensive, but the food is good, the service excellent and the golf course one of the best (and most beautiful!)

Used to work here, it's member owned so that's why there's 16 pairs of silverware but the kitchen cooks out of an illegal kitchen. Nothing about the food service is legal, the kitchen wouldn't pass inspection. I pray it gets foreclosed so better ownership can buy it and not let members ruin this place. Worked here for over a year too, love a lot of people here, it just should be condemned it's a health hazard, to the point where I'm writing this months after the fact knowing nothing has changed...yikes

Awesome place for kids and adults. The kids had a blast in the water park and playground areas. The poolside bar is very convenient.
