It is very convenient and the staff is friendly. When we vacation on BHI, I am certain members of our group are there at least once a day! There is a variety of choices (they even carry "Stadium Mustard" - a staple in many NE Ohio homes!). Sure, prices are a few dollars more than you would be paying at mainland stores, but really that shouldn't be too much of a shocker; if you have forgotten something in the supplies you brought, you're going to be happy the market is there, regardless.

Great selection on the island and reasonable prices. Found all of our needed groceries/items for a week+ long stay on the island.

This place is run down and has nothing. What produce, meat and fish that they do have is dismal.not selections d bad quality. What a shame. The only grocery on the island. They could upgrade and charge so much more and make a killing. What a disappointment. Thankfully there are people now providing personal shopping off island who will deliver directly to homes. And it turns out to be less expensive even with added fees.

The only grocery store on Bald Head Island. It was really well stocked, but expect to pay more as everything has to be brought to the island on a ferry that increases price.

If you are staying on Bald Head and you need provisions, this is it. But it's got an amazing selection considering how small it is. Some very fancy offerings along with comfort food classics. Huge wine selection.

Sure, some things are a little pricey, but they have a little of everything you need to stay on the island! Bring back banana juice, tho!

Good selection of good items for most needs, friendly helpful staff, smaller store compared to chain stores but adequate selection with good hours of operation and very clean and orgsinized.

We VRBOed a house on the island and shopped here for groceries. We were completely surprised by the large selection that was squeezed into this location! WOW! They will even deliver to your rental home just prior to your arrival so that you can check in and just put the groceries away and start the vacation.

The grocery store part gets 5 stars. The restaurant part should be avoided at all costs unless you enjoy paying top dollar for low quality food. I work on the island and frequently stop in and every time I eat there it's a disappointment. Every. Single. Time. The buns are always stale, the chips are chewy from sitting under the lamp for so long, and the customer service is abysmal. If your order isn't prepared the way you ordered it you're treated like it's your fault and it's an inconvenience for them to correct it. You're better off going outside to city wok or Mike's bites across the island(only open durning summer). Seriously some of the worst quality and worst service I've ever experienced.

This is the cutest little market! Their prices as you would expect, being on an island, are high but overall not too bad. They have a nice selection of wines and produce. They also have a cute little souvenir shop where you can buy everything Bald Head. The two fast food eateries adjacent are excellent and well priced.

Great local store. Has all the groceries you would ever need, although a bit pricey.Cafe inside is great. We got breakfast for our whole crew to bring back to our house. The staff and food was fantastic. Great staple of the island.

They have everything you would need if you didn't pack a single grocery. Not the most helpful staff. They aren't much more expensive than a whole foods. Local beers, ice cream, good pizza and plenty of fresh produce.

The Maritime Market is the only grocery store on Bald Head Island. It serves its purpose, but it’s a bit of a mixed bag. As you would expect on an island, the prices are about 2.5 times what you would spend for an item on the mainland. Variety is typically limited to either one or two brands, not much more. They do have a wide selection of wine and beer. By far, the best part about Maritime Market is Nye’s Cream Sandwiches. You can purchase the sandwiches at Maritime Market, but there is also a small storefront that sells only the ice cream. In my opinion (having tried both), skip the sandwiches and head straight for the ice cream!!! Our group tried a variety of flavors and all were delicious. When it comes to the ice cream flavor, the key lime pie flavor was the BEST ice cream flavor I have ever had in my life. The tart of the lime complimented the sweetness of the ice cream. As an added bonus, there were pieces of cookie throughout the ice cream, which gave it a fantastic texture. After my daughter tasted my key lime pie ice cream, she said she would not be getting chocolate next time because it was so good. I will dream about that ice cream until my dying day. My husband really loved the toasted coconut. While I’m not a huge fan of coconut, I will say that it was the best coconut flavor I have ever tasted. It was rich and had layers of flavor. YUM! Be warned that these sandwiches and ice cream are so popular, that it can be hard to always get want you want. The freezer section of Maritime Market was full of the sandwiches one evening and by the next afternoon, the pickings were slim. – They’re that good!

Market with everything you would need for your time in the island. Awesome pizza shop inside. The only down side is (naturally) being on the island everything is a bit pricey
