If have a chance to visit the Island make sure you stay at the Inn at Bald Head Island. The Inn that has everything. I cant say enough about Rose and Mimi who act almost like a personal Concierge. From snacks, to a corkscrew to a Bike to a Golf Cart they have it all for you at your disposal. It is amazing. For a bed and breakfast it feels friendly and open. Space for everyone and so very clean. The owners Dann and Gail are fabulous and friendly. I haven't been so impressed in all the years of visiting B& B's. Oh and no children permitted. :)

I've owned and managed over 20 short term rentals so I'm not easily impressed when traveling. Dann and Gail's Bald Head Island Inn blew me away with the experience. We came down in late October to visit Bald Head Island for the first time. The Inn was perfect, room was great, and they had everything covered on what we wanted to do (real estate shopping, shopping, golf, kayaks, dining, fishing, biking, etc...). Highly recommend that you stay here. I took notes on how I can run my business better. We'll definitely be returning! -Mike and Jordan

First time stay ! We went with 4 other couples and absolutely loved staying here! Decorated with beachy charm and wonderful hospitality! Breakfast and wine set ups were perfect! The bed was very comfortable and our room was #3 and it was perfect ( extrabig bathroom room for getting ready ). The only things I would change would be darker blinds for early morning sun. Too much light for sleep. The other is the food at bald head cc was horrible for dinner! Don’t order fish ! Stick w burgers. The shoals club was great for lunch but another bad dinner! Our steaks were cold and over cooked and my snapper had skin on and zero taste w maybe 5 pieces of veggies. Stick with burgers and salads. Next time we will eat at Jules. We loved having golf carts and bikes for our stay ! The owner is usually there and is very interested in making your stay perfect !

We had family and friends stay here for our wedding on Bald Head! Everyone just loved it! Rose is a delight to be around and so accommodating! She took photos of my groom before I saw him at the chapel during our wedding and then sent them to me afterwards! She texted me to update me on things and just made me feel so comfortable! The Inn is so cozy and inviting! Marcie is also a delight to be around with her friendly smile! I can't wait to go back for every anniversary!

It was a wonderful weekend get away! We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts along with the nightly happy hours. I enjoyed all of the little touches from the fresh baked cookies & treats to the comfortable stylish furniture. It was absolutely perfect! Rose and the owners, Gail & Dann, made sure that you were well taken care of and were very accommodating as well as friendly. The Inn has everything you need from golf carts, brand new bikes, beach chairs and soft drinks. It is the perfect place to recharge your battery and relax. I can’t wait to go back!

We had such a wonderful experience at the Inn! Even before we arrived, Rose, the innkeeper, texted to welcome us and make sure we had an easy arrival on the ferry. She was warm, kind, and welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure that our needs were met. On top of that, her breakfasts and hors d'oeuvres were amazing! Everything was delicious and the presentation was beautiful.Dann and Gail made us feel like family and were great hosts. They really took the time to get to know their guests and created a warm environment in the home. The Inn is beautifully decorated and pristine and we enjoyed spending time in the comfortable living room next to the fire. The location of the Inn next to the Marina is fabulous and the added perk of membership to the Bald Head Island club made our stay even more wonderful! We savored the view from our room each morning and really enjoyed the well-maintained golf carts and bikes included with the stay.Being on Bald Head Island itself feels like you are frozen in time, away from the hustle and bustle of the world. Staying at the Inn is the perfect retreat and we felt pampered throughout our entire stay. We look forward to returning!

The Inn at Bald Head Island makes a miraculous place even more special. The charming residence perfectly balances beauty and comfort, with beautifully adorned and assiduously maintained rooms, bathrooms, living areas and outdoor porches. The included amenities seem too good to be true: elaborate breakfasts, evening cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, around-the-clock drinks and snacks, beach bikes, and access to the Bald Head Island Club. And the staff couldn't be more fabulous. In advance of and throughout every stay, Gail, Dann, Rose and the rest of the team are incredibly kind, attentive and resourceful. The Inn at Bald Head Island offers an extraordinary experience for any occasion, at an unmatched value.

My wife and I booked a weekend for July 29-31 trip many months ago with a group of friends. As policy indicated, we paid half the deposit upon initial registration and the remaining balance 30 days out. Unfortunately for us, we contracted COVID 2 days before our trip. I immediately called the Inn and spoke with Dann and told him our story. I even followed up with a proof positive so Dann could see clearly that I was not making this up. Nothing was offered by Dann in the form of credit - nothing - but I was remined by Dann that their "policies" were clearly defined on their web site. I asked for a credit so we could return for another visit (which would have been our first time), Dann said they were "booked up." Dann didnt offer anything other than to ask for an email stating we were not coming so I assume he could double book the room. He offered nothing - not even 25% or 50% credit, nothing. Something Dann would have made me feel better. My wife followed up with another email explaining our case (we both ended up testing positive). Nothing from Dann. Nothing from the Inn. Again, this was to be our first trip. We boat alot up and down the NC / SC coast. I will never recommend or much less attempt to stay at the Inn to anyone because of the way the owner handled this. I understand they have policies but to not offer any credit on our stay as an incentive for a return visit was in my opinion poor business. It seemed to my Dann could care less since he has people "booked" already. I hope he remembers this when the time comes the Inn isnt so booked. Bad attitude Dann and you willingness to ensure a new customer's first impression remained positive was poor. You could have done something considering our situation. Something Dann.

Where do we start? What a great escape to such a lovely inn. The inn was very clean and beautiful. Wonderful wrap around porch for morning coffee and afternoon relaxation before heading to dinner. Coffee was excellent, breakfast buffet had lots of options and you could eat at the large breakfast table or at one of the many two tops on the porch. There were always snacks and iced lemon water throughout the day. The afternoon wine and cheese reception was a great touch and where we met other guests. Our room was large and comfortable and super clean, a nice large bathroom, and our own porch overlooking the marina. Dann and Gail were amazing hosts and Rose and Vicki made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We will be back!

Very friendly staff and great accommodations. We loved the breakfast service in the morning and the evening wine service. Staff and owner are extremely knowledgeable and helpful about everything on Bald Head Island. Rooms were clean and quiet. Membership to Bald Head Island club and the golf cart rentals were the cherry on top. Will stay again.

As much as I wanted this to be a 5* review, I had to go with 2* ("It's OK") due to my partner and my experience during our 6 night stay.I will start off by mentioning the good things:Marcelina is an absolute Earth Angel. She is the gardener and she has made this place look incredible. Rose, the innkeeper was also very kind, welcoming, and was an amazing cook! The breakfast and happy hours were also awesome. The OK:Bikes were provided, albeit they were not in good condition (rusted/flat tires/really high seats). We used them all week, but I would definitely suggest renting bikes outside of this place and not including this as a perk to this place if you are planning on riding them for the duration of your stay. The room war alright, but the first thing I did when I arrived was fix the AC grates in the room as they were completely broken and a potential trip hazard. And the balcony door was very difficult to open and close. The Bad:We are 31 and 36 years old and are professional, respectful, and mature adults. I believe that if you are under 50 years old you will likely not enjoy your experience here. From the moment we arrived, the owner Dann seemed to go out of his way to be rude, condescending and unprofessional. We were treated as if we were teenagers that were causing trouble rather than the respectful guests that we continued to be despite the way we were being treated. Many of his comments caught us off guard. We never heard him treat any of the older guests the way he was treating us.This included (but is not limited to) talking down to us frequently, asking if we were "having fun in our little clubhouse", saying we were going to come whine to him about wanting a golf cart (which he made sure to do the voice *extra* whiny), telling us to "get out of the way" during our first morning breakfast, and another day to "stop crowding the kitchen" when we were having a nice conversation with another guest (while we were actually waiting on him to set out food).Despite him repeatedly saying he wasn't trying to sell us anything, he constantly pushed club memberships, golf cart rentals, and other properties that he owned on the island for our "future stays".After his rude behavior all week, he ended the week with an unprofessional and inappropriate request for a hug from us. It was just creepy. We didn't see him hug any of the other guests goodbye the whole week...The cleaning crew were also extremely unfriendly. We saved up for this trip to celebrate our engagement. But during our stay at the Inn at Bald Head Island, we spent over $300 a night for 6 nights only to be treated like children. We won't be back.
