Great service, friendly staff. They look like they work hard to get people in and out. My skis were good for my level of skiing; the bottoms could have been a little better, but I'm sure they are turned over a lot during the course of a week. The boots fit great, and saved me a ton of time from standing in-line at the slopes the next day.

Jackson was super helpful! He helped us figure out boot sizes for both ski and snowboarding boots. Never felt pressured to buy, he helped me find the exact ones online because they didn’t have them in stock there. Super knowledgeable and understanding. Definitely recommend this place and ask for Jackson.

We have rented ski gear at this place for years and seems to never change. Employees seem to just dread breathing better yet helping you with renting or adjusting ski gear. Every year we come they are very slow, dreadful, gloomy, and carry on personal conversations between themselves while you're wondering if you will ever get to leave with your gear. **Go give the guys some business at the Ski Shack instead right below Alpine, they appreciate your business with a smile. :)

Even though we communicated with them 5 times we were coming as a group of 17 they did not have any rentals left for us.

Alpine Ski Center in Banner Elk NC was a huge disappointment. Although we called 5 times for six weeks prior to our trip and they said come on no problem. They had no skis or boards for rental. Worse than that the "manger" we spoke with was rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, and uncaring. Other Alpine ski staff actually laughed at us as we tried to solve the issues of having a group of 22 now with no skis to rent. I am very disappointed in Alpine and would suggest looking for other places to rent skis and snowboards.

Great experience for us, short line, employees always ready to help , here is my two cents, rent your equipments here then go to sugar mountain to buy lift tickets only, because crowded people are piled up and try boots over there, and you don’t want to waste one or two hours on waiting. Also it is just 3 minutes drive to the sugar mountain ski parking lots

A great place to stop if you need something before you head to sugar mountain. The workers were nice and helped me find some gloves and get in and out quickly.

Great staff. Bought some equipment but they also helped me with adjusting some used skis I had purchased to my boots for only a nominal fee. Very helpful and friendly.

Horrible place to rent!! I went there to get snowboard equipment for me and my friends and ended up having to go back during the day to fix broken bindings. Not to count that the staff was not willing to change or fix it correctly, meaning that at the end of the day I had to go back there again for then getting new bindings. When I finally thought everything was fine, the replaced binding was broken as well. Luckily, I was able to borrow one at Beech Mountain to continue the day without loosing as much time. Besides that, customer service was terrible. Overall, I would not recommend this store for renting ski/snowboard equipment.

Outdated crap equipment! Had to return for the 3rd time bc of errors with bindings or broken bindings and still didn't get what I asked for. Good Luck

Rent from here! We stopped at the ski shack at first and there was one poor soul trying to fit skis for 15 people. We left and went to the Alpine Ski - plenty of helpful staff and we breezed right on through. And their prices were very reasonable. Super friendly staff

We use Alpine in Raleigh for all our needs since it’s only 45 minutes away. My husband snagged a rental pair of snow boots late the day before our trip for our eldest due to his rapidly growing feet only for them not to fit :-( Raleigh is the opposite way of Beech so we were fully prepared to come up and pay for another set. When we arrived at Banner Elk, they graciously understood and comp’d us even though it was our mistake. That type of customer service will keep you coming back for years and years! Not to mention, the whole team was courteous and engaging! Life long customers of the Alpine Ski franchise. Also, beyond amazing hours! Thanks again!

We can't review the ski equipment because we came here in the spring. It was unusually cold and we each needed gloves along with one extra large men's jacket. The staff was very helpful and we appreciated the availability of cold weather gear even in late spring. We were able to enjoy our hike with gloves and a coat for my partner, despite the cold weather.
