About Lees-McRae College
Lees-McRae College is a beautiful college more specialized in certain classes, with a wildlife rehab program and vet sciences. It is the place for animal lovers, as the campus is animal friendly. There is a class on top of the mountain outside, and the third year is the most exciting time to implement and learn hands on with the animals at the rehabilitation center. There is plenty to do even when not in class. The only down side is the cold and snow, so summer people should stay away. Move-in day was a breeze, with polite, eager students carrying things to the third floor, making it effortless. The time as a student was unforgettable. Banner Elk is a one-of-a-kind town with incredible people and a breathtaking atmosphere. The cost can be steep, but every penny is worth it. Campus security is also excellent, with a guard named George selflessly helping with a flat tire.

Wonderful private liberal arts college in the Mountainsof Western North Carolina. Just shy of a 1000 acre campus. Wildlife Biology is the leading degree track with one of the only Wildlife Rehabilitation Centers at a higher education facility in the nation. Frankly LMC is an amazing place.

Beautiful campus in the very quaint town of Banner Elk. I love the stone everywhere. The grounds are very well kept as well. Its been years since I knew people that went here so Im no longer sure about the curriculum but Ive heard good things.
