We couldn't be more pleased with the cabinets Mike installed around our fireplace. From the first point of contact to job completion, Mike did everything he said he would when he said he would do it. The craftsmanship is top quality, the cost was very reasonable, and Mike is just an all-around great guy.

This is the place to have your wood project made by a true professional.I contacted Mike after searching the internet for a custom cutting board and what a find! Carolina Wood Designs!The entire process went seamlessly. After sending my size and wood option Mike went to work finding the exact Zebra Wood that had the grain I was looking for. He sent pictures of the finished board for my approval and shipped it out the same day.I was particular about the wood grain and told him I was willing to wait for the right board and it was well worth the wait.I highly recommend Carolina Wood designs and when needed I will be ordering more from Mike and no one else.What a pleasure.Mark B.

After researching many cabinet companies ranging from big corporate companies to custom cabinetry work; Carolina Wood Designs and Mike were the best value, best quality, and most responsive in communication. I envisioned a certain look for my child's playroom and he brought it to life in a way that blew my vision out of the water. The quality of Mike's work is beyond anything I have ever seen. I went into plenty of cabinet show rooms and his cabinets, the finish, the soft close hinges everything was well above the quality I saw elsewhere. We highly highly recommend Mike and Carolina Wood Designs. We even joke that if/when we move we will be detaching them from the walls and taking them with us because we love them so much!

Mike was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. My wife and I were looking for someone to build a custom cabinet and had a design in mind to match some other curves in our existing furniture. We reached out to Mike and he helped us through all of our questions. We had a lot of specifications in paint color, finish, how the doors and drawers opened / closed, the design, etc. And he helped us through every step. We even changed the measurements on him late in the process, and he gave us a new design. He then got the whole thing built quicker than he said he would and brought it to us. Working with Mike was perfect start to finish.

I found Michael online and reached out to him regarding making my husband and I a live edge dining table. We LOVE the table that Michael made and can't wait to make many memories around it. Michael was very easy to work with, very responsive, and delivered the table to our house. I gotta say I purchased a product from Mike this past week and it was a truly a pleasurable experience. From the time I called I asked when will it be shipped he said tomorrow and sure enough it was shipped the next day.
I received the product and had some questions as soon as I called he picked up and talked me through all my concerns and confusion.

Mike has done excellent work for our family on several occasions. The latest project was a built in cabinet in our den. We have found him to be patient, resourceful, and meticulous as he approaches a project. We are very proud to show off his work, and his attention to detail pleases my engineer husband.

Thanks to Carolina Wood Designs (Mike) my first woodworking project with my (teen) son was a success. Just what I needed to get him away from the Video games. Naturally the family and friends wanted one, and practice makes perfect so the builds continue. I'm hoping he makes more templates available. Maybe a side table or leg rest.
