Carlie C's IGA, a family-owned grocery store, has been serving the community since 1961. Established by Carlie C and Joyce McLamb, the store quickly gained a reputation for its quality meats, fair prices, and excellent customer service. Carlie C had acquired the store from Otis McLamb and expanded it to a second location on Highway 301 between Dunn and Benson. Customers praise the store's meat department, fried chicken, and bakery, as well as the pharmacy's kind and helpful staff. The store's "hometown appeal" and willingness to go the extra mile for customers, such as staying past closing to help with a medication need, have made it a beloved local institution.
