The Dollar General store on South Wall Street in Benson, North Carolina, has a particular employee who works during the day with an extremely poor attitude and lacks any customer service skills. Recently, I visited the store with a friend, and we successfully completed our purchases. However, the situation took an unpleasant turn when we reached the checkout counter.
There were three customers in line, but the cashier was nowhere to be found. Instead, she was engaged in a conversation with another employee on the shampoo aisle. A customer in front of me had eight bottles of shampoo and was paying for them two at a time. The cashier informed her that she could proceed to checkout, assuming that the customer was experiencing difficulties with payment or coupons.
However, the cashier rudely denied her request, stating that she needed to finish paying for the remaining items in her cart. She then proceeded to scold the customer, telling her to hurry up and leave the store. The cashier’s behavior was extremely unpleasant, and she continued to be rude to the customer even after she had taken her cart.
I couldn’t stand by and watch this behavior any longer, so I stepped in and told the cashier that her actions were affecting the other customers and that she needed to be more professional. I explained that her job was helping to pay her paycheck, and that she was not causing any harm or creating a problem.
The cashier continued to argue and refuse to cooperate, but I remained firm in my stance. I had previously encountered this cashier on several occasions and had noticed her consistently rude behavior. I believe she has been working at the store for about 20 years and has never once greeted customers or shown any interest in their well-being.
In my opinion, this cashier should be removed from her position as a cashier and transferred to the stocking department, where she would have minimal interaction with customers. This would allow her to focus on her job without the stress and frustration of dealing with difficult customers.

Went into the dollar general last night to but some ciggs and was thrown into the 50's when the employees who clearly didn't want to help me blantly asked me if I skipped the line .... mind you she wasn't at the register when the line formed as usual....1 cashier 10 shoppers or more in line whille the other employees hide. I felt it was asked on purpose because that must have been her friend.... get better

Tried doing on line survey, there were very few isles you could go down, this was at 12:20 PM on Saturday,August 13,2021,so much stock stacked very high on carts you could not enter the isles.A lady shopping told me I need to get some of the canned goods and I can't enter the isle.So dangerous as cart could tilt over and injure someone. See my receipt can't read the survey numbers,so disappointed! This store was in Benson,NC

Literally 3/4 of the store's isles were full of boxed product. You couldn't even walk down some of them. I said hello to multiple staff only for them to look and ignore me and they seemed to be very unhappy to be there. This has been a issue every time I've been to this dollar general. Shelves empty, isles full and blocked off by unboxed product and nothing I was looking for was there. Even if it was, it is probably still boxed up and not put out.
