We always enjoy shopping at Ingles Market when we travel to a community lucky enough to be graced with this fabulous grocer. I truly wish we had them in our area. The service is top notch, the produce and deli are always fresh and delightful. The stores are clean and nicely arranged with great selection. Our last trip was to the store in Black Mountain, NC.

I love shopping at the Ingles in Rockmart GA. The selection is great, store is pristine, and the employees(especially management) are friendly and helpful. However their prices are exorbitant. Example: the same size Persil liquid detergent that is $5.95 at Dollar General is $9.95 at Ingles. This is rampant throughout the store (oatmeal, salad dressing, condiments, Lean Cuisine, etc.). Used to buy my weekly groceries there, but I can't afford to any longer. I'm only posting this because I'm hoping that the company will take a hard look at their pricing strategies. Would love to shop there again. Thank you,Robb McElwee

Honestly so impressed with this ingles. Hands down one of the better ingles in the area. Even though I live in Swannanoa it's definitely worth the drive.

Terrible deli service, the lady who makes the sandwiches is rude and nasty to all customers. This lady honestly has no business working in the customer service industry. This super market should have her resign or keep her somewhere where there is not customer interaction. The way she addressed myself the the customers around me almost made me walk out and drive to Publix. I will not be coming back to this place. You definitely lost a customer in me. And I wouldn't doubt the others feel the same way.

Ingle's has a monopoly in Black Mountain and Swannanoa. And it shows. There used to be a Bi-Lo in Black Mountain that was not as good a store as Ingle's, but was more convenient for those of us that live north of I-40. Then Ingle's bought the property on which Bi-Lo was located; and I have heard multiple times that Ingle's cancelled the Bi-Lo lease. I wish this area had competing store - a Publix or a Harris-Teeter. Monopolies just do not provide service, goods, and prices as good as when competition is close by. The best thing about this store is the $1/bag popcorn. Good quality; good price. Consistently available. The Ingle's store is not bad, but it does not have a number of offerings that some other groceries have.

Refuse to enforce mask mandate, claim the entitled Caucasian people walking around the store every single time I have gone in have claimed that they have "medical issues". (I don't think mental illness counts). How dare store management and ownership continue to serve political interests over public health? They know good and well what the county and state governor have mandated and they don't seem to care. They also know the policy; that they are encouraged to contact the non-emergency police line to have trespassers (meaning idiot anti-maskers whining about their "constitutional rights" while breathing their nasty germs all over products put out for ALL OF US) removed from the premises. I am done with this place, have found a couple of other places I use now that offer free curbside pickup and/or free delivery. Won't be back. Thanks for the COVID Ingles.

I really really really wish there was a food lion in black mountain. I dont know if its the color red that makes everyone in such a hurry or maybe its just too many yankees. People hauling a** around the store and in the parking lot trying to run you over. Very stressful place to go. Then the bagger who is 100 years old asking a HEALTHY 56 year woman with TWO bags if she needs help to the car? Zero common sense also. Hard to play along with that level of stupidity.

Ingles is a horrible grocery store. After finding yogurt for sale two weeks after its expiration date, I informed the manager. A week later it was still for sale. Recently I found some boxed food that was one year past its expiration. When I informed the manager, she said "OK" and went about her business. Their "fresh" produce is typically about one day from being spoiled. One would think that the Black Mountain location would be their their flagship store. Especially since their headquarters and distribution center is located about a mile away. But somehow Ingles never fails to disappoint. Ingles business model is simple - (1) When a popular brand item sells well, discontinue and replace it with an inferior Ingles "Laura Lynn" branded product, (2) Entice people to shop at Ingles for "points" used to discount Ingles gasoline. But price the gasoline the same as a local independent gas station, and (3) When a big box location becomes available, buy it so a grocery competitor cannot move in and compete with Ingles. I shop at Ingles only for milk and the few brand name items they sell. But I drive to Asheville to shop at Trader Joes, Harris Teeter, Fresh Market and Whole Foods when I need good, fresh food. Ingles sucks.

It's my local Ingles, but having shopped at others in Swannanoa, Lake Lure, and across Asheville, it is still by far my favorite. Mostly very friendly employees, produce is usually varied (for a town this size) and fresh. Prices can be a little higher, but it's great considering the size of the town.

We visited on a Saturday morning and had a great visit. Everyone was wearing masks. The staff was helpful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.

n violation of law, Ingles does not require customers to wear masks. Today at the Mills River location, 3-4 young men were hanging around the fresh food and bakery sections, laughing and joking without masks. Their spittle landed on the food I had been planning to buy. I did not, of course. A man in a Coast Guard cap wandered through the store unmasked, handling food and coughing. He checked out, maskless, spraying his viruses all over the checkout area. Despite obvious violations of the law, both in full view of the managers and staff, nothing was done. Other grocery stores enforce the laws to protect customers, but Ingles does not. Maybe it is politics. But I do not want to die for Ingles' beliefs.

Came in to check out lane and employee was talking with another employee, kept talking even after i'd put my things down on the conveyor belt...overall a bit rude and dismissive; really behavior maybe expected from a teenage with a bad work ethic but this person clearly wasn't a teenager any longer. Then the employee didn't ask me to use my ingles savings card; and when i asked about it,completely ignored me, either couldn't hear me because this worker was still gabbing with the friend, or just didn't care either way and ignored me nonetheless; then the other worker asked gave the next customer treatment and service that was basic which was ignored when dealing with me. I had a seperate complaint on this store with higher ups and no one even contacted me back about it; got some sort of mountain entitlement mentality at play here or something.

This deli is terrible. Today I bought a sandwich there (roast beef on Kaiser roll). They had piled all of the roast beef in the front and 3/4 of the sandwich empty bread. Crooked!
