This goodwill was so good and willing. It was so preppy in there. It was just as preppy as I imagined. No lulu lemon though ?. But I did find some preppy simply southern shirts. 6$ for 2! That’s pretty preppy. They lacked drunk elephant skincare so I’m a little mad. There was no used preppy Stanley’s. But many preppy Starbucks cups. Found preppy Christmas vineyard vine shirt. Was a little too preppy for me so I didn’t buy. There was some things that looked so bright they could be highlighter costumes, but that was preppy. Enjoyed my preppy experience and loved the staff even though I didn’t talk to them.

Most items overpriced for what they are. Would you seriously pay $45 for a used blender? How about $15 for a used toilet seat? $10 for a mug? Whoever is pricing this stuff needs to get a grip. Lots of broken and dirty knicknacks. It would really help the vibe of this place if they weeded out all the trash and priced things to sell because this is a tonedeaf joke.Yes goodwill is a nonprofit, but so is Mountain Home. Just look at the difference. That’s not a good excuse. You can price an item super high and hope a naive person buys it, or you could price everything appropriately and actually sell items rather than let them gather dust and bad reviews. This is a no-brainer! In the time it takes to sell one $50 speaker from 1997, you could sell 5 useful items for $10, and have room for 5x more stuff that people actually want to buy. Price to sell, not to sit! C’mon. Look at your reviews and ask yourself- is this a sustainable business model? Is this helping the community?Pretty good place to get clothes though, I’ll give them that!

Use to be good but now it’s WAY over priced. Not sure what happened. But now They literally charge double the price for things from the dollar store. There will be original stickers on items and the goodwill price will be way more. The store also puts out way too many things that are broken. The household items and toys Could definitely be better organized and cleaned out more.The one thing they do very well is the organization of the clothing. The kids clothes are the best organized of any goodwill. They have them organized by gender and size which is so helpful.

My SO was just here. She was trying a sweater on. Took her jacket off and within seconds someone picked it up and “bought” it. No over sight, no double checking. Cashier and manager claims “tags fall off all the time.” Steal from this place they don’t train the staff well enough to double check and clearly “tags fall off all the time.” I know it’s goodwill but come on.

Someone gave a one ⭐️ Review four months back so I had to share my thoughts. I have shopped this goodwill store twice a week for almost three years, the employees have come and gone but never have I had a bad experience with anyone being rude. One lady I enjoy seeing every week is Annie , always acknowledging people as they come in the door , always a good upbeat attitude.“ the movies “ well if you’re shopping in a thrift store if any kind , wouldn’t you check the “ used box the movie or CD came in ? I mean honestly dude that’s on you to check not the hard working people at the registers. If it’s in a box that isn’t originally sealed then check inside the box !!! Your one star is a reflection of yourself not the Black Mountain goodwill ! Peace out

I use to love shopping at Goodwill. I am an artist and I love checking to see if they have any frames or framed art that I can use the frames.Their prices have gone up drastically on what they have. I am having difficulty understanding why they ask so much on certain items when they were donated to them at no cost.I purchased 6 framed prints at the Goodwill on Hendersonville Rd several months ago and when I was at t h e one in Black Mtn....they wanted $25.00 each for the exact same print.I discovered that these were donated to them .That did it for me. $2000 more for the same exact items.

My family loves to shop thrift stores when on vacation. Usually I find the Goodwills in my area to be more expensive. I found the prices reasonable for the quality of the items I purchased. I found the store also to be very well organized and easy to shop. It would be great if they had a weekly sale color at 50% off as they do in the Atlanta Metro area. I think this might help some of the negative reviews I saw posted about prices. This would also help move merchandise to make space for more inventory to sell.

A nice young woman associate .. I think Morgan was her name.. took the time to patiently help me find an item I had seen a few days before and was hoping it was still there. I was in a time crunch and I couldn't be more appreciative of her help. She was kind and polite .The store is also looking very tidy! Keep up the good work!
