The sales clerks were so super friendly. The store is what dreams are made of. I purchased the loveliest blue and white footbath. I definitely plan on returning when I'm back in town. They have so many lovely and affordable home decor accents.

I love this store and it's ever changing collection of accoutrements. It's very tight and they're often busy but it's very worth a long look. So much to see snd love, good to go in with a plan - often devised by having scouted before and thinking about what you are going to do with any treasures found in the Brass Exchange. Friendly staff, great prices. I have a new space to fill, time to head to Blowing Rock for lunch and shopping!

I think I ran into the same lady. She was very rude when I tried to return something that I bought 30 minutes prior because the store bag broke on the sidewalk. She said it was my fault and I shouldn’t have been holding the bag a certain way! What? Talk about poor customer service. I won’t be purchasing anything from this store again. I was so excited about my purchase and then for the entire experience to be soured by this awful lady was unfortunate. There are plenty of cute home stores on this block that have helpful staff that will get my future business.

I encountered the rudest employee ever when Itried to visit the store in Blowing Rock today. I called before I came to confirm what time they closed and arrived 15 minutes prior to closing. When I walked in the store, the lady rudely yelled "We're closed" and when I told her I thought they closed in 15 minutes she said "well what do you need?", then said "I guess look around for a few minutes, knock yourself out" in the rudest tone. Needless to say, I did not enter the store and will never be back. She was so rude, my daughter asked me "mommy, why was she so mean to you?". Don't visit this store if you want to deal with pleasant people. Head across the street, as there is a cute new home decor and those employees were very welcoming.

Do not visit the Brass Exchange in Blowing Rock unless you want to interact with rude unprofessional employees. I tried to visit for the first time today and called before I came to confirm what time they closed. I arrived 15 min before closing and when I walked in the store the employee yelled "we're closed". When I said "I thought you closed in 15 minutes", she said "well what do you need?" then said "I guess you can look for a minute, knock yourself out" in the snarkiest tone. My daughter said to me "mommy why is that lady so mean to you?". Needless to say, I did not go in and they will never get a dime from me. There is a cute new home decor store right across the street...I went there instead and the employees were very nice.

Friendly staff...prices are very affordable. The merchandise varies to complement everyone's taste. I always stop here when I am in Blowing Rock, NC. Delightful.

PleAse have them chk any purchases you make which requires them to give you back stock that is preboxed. I walked a block after purchasing a large Ginger Jar and heard pieces rattling in bottom of box so I stopped and opened box and sure enough it was broken. So I return to the store ( today) immediately after examining the box ( all of 5 mins) and she asked me if I was sure I didn't drop it.... really?? I kept my composure and responded that I had not dropped it and as if that wasn't enough of an answer she let me know it was not rattling when she brought it to me! Are you kidding me? Have always loved this store but pretty sure this will be my last visit... so rude!!!

Really fun gift shop and home decor shop with tons of pottery, decorations, lanterns, candles, unique finds and friendly staff. Competitive prices and a great stop on your tour of Blowing Rock.
