Set at the bottom of a mountain in a quaint little town, this little Mexican restaurant is tucked into a curve and looks small from the outside. But once you step inside, it's much bigger than it looks. It serves both Mexican fares and American dishes, which is kind of neat. We ordered Mexican and the dishes had your typical taste. It was good food, good salsa, and the cheese dip had a zing to it. The waitress needed assistance a few times due to her learning English, but hey, everyone has the right to learn so be kind. We were so hungry after doing a lot of hiking that I failed to take any ?.Parking: It's a small parking lot out in front of the building. I didn't check to see if they had more parking around back.

My husband and I dropped in El Rincon for breakfast. I was shocked to find so many items on the menu. We ordered a country breakfast and a chicken and waffle meal. They were incredibly delicious. The chicken was a hand-breaded breast and so tasty. We went back later for dinner because the experience was so great. My husband ordered Mexican food and I ordered Southern comfort food. Both were outstanding. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming, and it is very clean. You must go!!

Let me preface this by saying that we are locals. We’ve seen restaurants come and go in this little town for years, most recently, a breakfast restaurant whose owners were overwhelmed with the high volume of traffic in Blowing Rock. El Rincon has become a staple restaurant here and we love it. The restaurant is always clean, the food is very well prepared and very tasty and all the servers, including the owner, are happy, courteous and always aiming to please. While other touristy restaurants in the area select their hours, close on Tuesday, and/or “off season,” these guys are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week year round , and always with a good attitude. The cuisine is Mexican/American and both sides of the menu are lovingly prepared fresh for you by Letitia and her family.and are equally as delicious. If you want a crowded, rude, overrated, expensive mediocre meal, then go elsewhere. If you want a freshly prepared, served-with-love eating experience, then go to El Rincon.

Such a nice Hispanic family running the joint but I have never paid $30 for a very small, bad taco salad, 2 side order street tacos for my wife and a tea. Yes—$30.00. If this place is a 2022 readers choice for Trip Advisor then Trip Advisor is Trippin’.

Carnitas were small both the carnitas meal and the tacos and overpriced. I liked how open the restaurant was and the service was nice. Chips were stale. I would bring our toddler here and I think it’s kid friendly. We would be back if we needed a kid friendly place or space to spread out. No beer on draft. Spent 40 bucks on 2 people for lunch and 2 Pepsis that weren’t refilled.

My family and I are Hispanic and from the Raleigh area. This is the most authentic and delicious Mexican food we've had. The service was top tier. The food was amazing. I recommend everyone to come here.Food: 5/5

Really good food! Service was great and the staff was friendly. The chips were thin and crispy like we like, salsa was fresh, queso was soooo good. We all had different variations from their ACP menu and all cleaned our plates!

I was on a vacation in the area and someone recommended El Rincon. I live in Indiana and there's many Mexican restaurants where i live. Some better than others but all similar. The lunch i had at Rl Rincon was a whole different level. it started w the chips and salsa, i thought ok thats good. Then the burrito came and after the first bite i knew i was in for a treat. This was the best Mexican meal ive ever had. It was excellent.

Leticia, the owner and her staff were warm and welcoming. Our breakfasts, an omelette and scrambled eggs came quickly and was delicious. Coffee was also good and hot (which is important to me). Recommend highly.

We asked a fella on the street where we could get breakfast and he sent us to El Rincon. We saw lots of options on the menu and I got scrambled eggs with mushrooms and spinach. That along with an English Muffin and sliced tomato. We received warm, excellent service and learned Leticia’s story of how she became a restaurant owner. We wish her and the restaurant continued success.

Traditional American breakfast offered with a Mexican flair. Nothing special, but if you want to eat breakfast in Blowing Rock on Sunday, you have no other choice.

Under staffed. Preteen boy sat us chewing food or gum. Seemed not to happy to be there. Walked past me while eating nuts and one flew out of his hand and landed behind my back. Food took way too long and was average. Now the margaritas were the reason they got any stars at all. It was worth going for the margarita!!

Excellent option to eat in Blowing Rock with authentic Mexican food and plenty of choices from their menu, the place is not visible at all from the outside but it's located in a corner which is easy to locate . The staff and the owner are really kind and always helpful, for sure I'll come back, thanks for all your finest attentions.Muy buen sabor y yTortilas hechas en casa!!!

In here for breakfast on a recommendation from a local . Easy to give this place a 4. Two couples looking for traditional breakfast. Pretty good homemade biscuit. Excellent service. Hardworking owner. We were all pleased. Several locals and travelers eating here.
