High Country Candles is a lovely little store along the Main Street of Blowing Rock. The beautiful and unique candles are all handcrafted and made in-house, with excellent and wonderful fragrances. They offer a wide variety of scents for every season and all times of year, available in a breadth of sizes including jar candles, pillars, and votives. The variety is awesome. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, helpful, and happy to answer questions. It is really cool to watch them carve candles, and you can tell the people take pride in their craftsmanship. They offer a refill program for a discounted price if you bring back your empty clean jars. The store also has various pottery selections like mugs, bowls, vases, and candle trays. It is a great unexpected find and definitely worth stopping by.
This is truly the best candle store around, where they craft wonderful on-site soy and beeswax candles. The staff are fantastic and incredibly welcoming. I wholeheartedly recommend stopping by—it's perfect for gift-giving or simply adding a warm, cozy touch to your space. A perfect 10/10!

I didn't purchase anything but they were friendly and their candles smell exactly like what they say it is. I just didn't find quite the right smell for me.
